I frequently dine here and I am always impressed with the service. We have been here at quiet times and also very busy times and the waiting staff are always very curtious and polite and bend over backwards to help us no matter how busy they are. They are very friendly and always have time to chat to us while remembering us from previous visits.
The food is awesome, the fajitas is my favourite and my husband loves the pulled pork sandwich.
I would recommend this restaurant to everyone, keep up the good work team and management.

Having visited the Wheelhouse twice in the last month,we noticed that the level of cleanliness in the restaurant is very poor.Visited today at lunch-time and noticed large amounts of dust on the ceiling above the table where we were sitting and on some of the walls, this seems to be coming out of the ceiling vents..thankfully it didn't fall in our food. The tables were dirty, food on the floor, which looked like it had been there for a few days, partitions between tables and glass between booths, filthy and covered in dust.Windows also filthy and covered in finger prints, paint chipped of the walls, coverings in the booths very dirty and stained. As you enter the Wheelhouse the outside wall is stained and dirty...worse inside.
Chicken was overcooked, asked when we paid the bill if everything was okay, complained about the dirt.

Did we go on the wrong night? Was the Manager away? Was the chef in a bad mood? How could a restaurant which was so poor attract so many customers?
This was the worst dining experience I have had in many a year.
Firstly the delays. We had booked for the early evening to avoid the busy time. In spite of this we had a twenty minutes wait for a table and a thirty minutes wait just to get a sweet menu after our main course.
The food, (what little there was of it) was I suppose, okey. £6.45 bought a quarter inch thick slice of Orkney black pudding sitting on a couple of chopped mushrooms with a poached egg on the top, whilst £1.95 bought six anchovy fillets preserved in oil, straight from the jar or can.

Not to worry, we had the main course to look forward to. Now does ‘Slow cooked pulled pork on a bed of cheese mash with barbecue beans’ sound like the perfect comfort food for a cold winter’s night. Oh what a disappointment when it arrived! A three inch circle of mush in the middle of the plate with a few bits of pork on the top. Sufficient for a good three or four forkfuls! The beans (which looked and tasted like canned baked beans ín tomato sauce with a spot of barbecue sauce mixed in) arrived in a small dish which in fairness occupied more of the plate than the pork and mash.
After that I wanted to get out and find some sustenance elsewhere. However, one of our party wanted a sweet. Hence after a wait of over thirty minutes a portion of Chocolate fudge brownie sundae arrived (£5.95). The recipient, failed to locate any brownie in what appeared to be chocolate ice cream poured over a bed of chocolate sauce. The waitress was called, disappeared to the kitchen and reported back that they were ‘very short of brownies tonight’. At least the restaurant was embarrassed enough to remove that item from our bill. However, we still spent over £112 for the four of us.
Surely, that standard is not acceptable to the people of the Falkirk area. Maybe we chose the wrong night, or maybe it is a restaurant in decline.

Met friends who were visiting Falkirk Wheel for a light lunch, staff were friendly, tables and surroundings clean, good lunch time menu, reasonably priced and served by attentive staff, with a view of Wheel, most pleasant place to lunch or at any time to eat from extensive menu

Visited this restaurant three times in December for breakfast and lunch, and every time it was perfect. The food was delicious and nothing was a bother. Even on Christmas Eve when it was full, the waitress/manageress (she seemed to know everything!) still took time to chat and had remembered us from previous visits. Going back soon!
