We stayed at this inn when it was new and called Bowtrees Farm. it has now been re-badged as a Premier Inn and re-named. We were delighted to see experienced and long-serving members of reception staff. They help to make the customer experience a very good one.

Housekeeping was as efficient as we remember it as being. Reception and housekeeping seem to work well together. The room was kept well serviced.

The eating facilities next door were much as you would find in similar establishments attached to Premier Inns. The Inn is not in a location for easily finding choices of places to eat and you can find a range of food on the menu which should suit most tastes at average pricing.

Breakfast is a choice between a 'continental' style (though more Scottish in this case) or a full cooked one. Again, pricing is keen. We ate continental, and this includes porridge if you want it. You can request the porridge to be made to suit individual requirements i.e. with milk or water, with/without salt. There was a range of jams/marmalade, butter/margarine, brown/white toast, crumpets, cereals, fruits of various types and fruit juices, yoghurts, teas and coffees available.

Room Tip: This Inn is on a busy roundabout and next to a petrol station forecourt. There is a network of busy roads in sight. With windows closed, the Inn is surprisingly quiet. I do not know if rooms at the back of the Inn would be any different, as there is the road network all around it. More importantly, during our stay, other guests seemed to be considerate as they moved about the hotel. This Inn has ample parking. You do need a car if you stay at Falkirk North as other transport is not readily within reach. The road network makes it easy to travel to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, and many places of interest. Within close reach of the Inn is The Falkirk Wheel, an absolute cracker of a visit!

Stayed here 2 nights with my children. Rooms spotlessly clean and well maintained. Very good breakfast and kids eat free. Dinner was good, quality and selection.Soft play area is good idea for kids. Had a room at front beside car park which is busy and a bit noisy. Staff are a credit to the hotel and good to see they enjoy their work, they do a great job. My first experience of a premier inn and certainly not my last. We had a fire alarm at 1.30 am in the morning which i realise is not the fault of the hotel, recommend acess to blankets for guests outside while we wait for the situation to be dealt with. 2 small kids in their pyjamas would have greatly appreciated them. Good nights sleep policy is a great idea.

Room Tip: Request room at back of hotel

Usual Premier Inn facilities all up to date and well maintained. Brief 3 night tourist break at bargain rates proved to be excellent location for Edinburgh, Stirling and local sightseeing. Busy site bit no parking problems. Pleasant friendly staff throughout. Recommended.

Room Tip: Upper floor ok as rthere is a lift

arrived after a long journey, and was greeted by a very friendly and helpful woman, very easy to chat too and seemed interested in our custom, the room was lovely, clean and comfortable, had a great nights sleep, is was right next to a round about, but personally i hardly heard the traffic at all, really enjoyed my stay, we had long days and it was a pleasure to get back to the room to kick of the shoes, the only thing we had to ask for was more coffee as we had drank the lot, but this was no problem for them, travelled down with my husband, father in law and brother in law, and they seemed to have a pleasant time also in their room, can't fault it really, very handy for the commute to the highland show, and had a handy service station across the road for any extras we needed. would stay again, thanks x
