A really impressive structure and a delight to experience. A tribute to English/Scottish engineering and design. (Sometimes we forget the things that we are good at and world famous for!)
The boat trip on the wheel was fascinating and the commentary excellent. This is a must see and do attraction for all ages.

“Great day out”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

Great park for kids. Great for walking you dog. We took a picnic and then went on the wheel. Our party consisted of oap mum who thought it was fabulous and wanted to go on again lol. Then my husband and I who loved it and my 7 year old who sat right at the front. Quietest he's ever been. He talked about it all the way home!

“fun experience”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

This was a unique thing to do on our drive from Edinburgh to Glasgow. You learn a lot about the canal system and how creative they were to build this ingenious way of moving boats from one canal to another. Great views as you are being lifted and also as you go through the tunnel to the area where you turn around. It was definitly an interesting experience.

“What a wonder!”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

Superb attraction, absolutely fascinating and a good morning out even in inclement weather.
The guide on our "cruise" was most informative and entertaining and the gift shop and cafe offered everything you would expect at a tourist attraction of this type. The cafe offered a good range of snacks and beverages at a reasonable price and it was very well staffed and maintained.

“Falkirk Wheel”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

Great walk along the canal to the wheel and the food at the restaurant is always lovely. The wheel never cease to amaze as it moves. There are many viewspoint from which to take fascinating photographs. Whatever the season, it always gives a wonderful 'feel'.
