“Local Chinese use it says It all”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013

Up in the area on business but having spent the evening looking at the attractions f the Fringe i wanted quick cheap and tasty and was so glad I chose this, the staff were very polite service quick and efficient and although i only had one course the food was tasty hot and in a very large portion.
What makes you realise that this is a good Chinese restaurant is that at least 60% of the clientelle (and it was busy) were Chinese,I think that says it all

“One of the best restaurants in town for Cantonese food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013 via mobile

I've been a patron of the restaurant for quite sometime now, although I'm no longer living In Edinburgh I guess this review was long overdue! This is the place to go to if you like authentic Cantonese "yum cha" experience, it has an excellent selection of dishes for dim sum and a large number of patron of the restaurant are actually Chinese (which obviously says a lot about the authenticity of the food)
The owner of the restaurant Hahn is very accommodating and friendly and always is a pleasure to talk to. Do look for him if you're at the restaurant and I'm sure he would give you very good recommendations on dishes and would take good care of you.
The only thing about the restaurant that sometimes brings it a little down is the occasional slow service which is however understandable as the restaurant is huge and is usually very full and busy.

I love the restaurant and the food and I can't wait to get back to taste some more :)

A very satisfied customer

“Really tasty amazing Chinese Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2013

Came to this restuarant on recommendation from a friend. We had a variety of dim-sum and a few other dishes - all of which were just amazing and super tasty.
We arrived at 12:10, which we considered an early lunch, but the restaurant was already busy and continued to get more busy whilst we were there. This was quite surprising as it was a Monday. There was a buffet on offer - which was reasonably priced, but we opted to order off the menu for dim sum. We left very satisfied with the meal costing ~£15 each including drinks.
If you like chinese food - this is definately a good restaurant to try.
I would definately come back here!

“Disgusting buffet!! Worst we have ever had anywhere!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2013

Went on a lunchtime just looking for a quick bite to eat. Went for the buffet as it seemed an easy option and would be relatively quick. Wrong decision!! The food must have been there for ages, dryed up chicken wings/ribs, bland soup, very little choice of main dishes. Buffet was not replenished with fresh food. Even at the price of £8.99 which is relatively cheap for Edinburgh it was a rip off! Everything looked dry and horrible, didn't taste much better. Should have left the restaurant when we saw the buffet. Avoid at all costs!!

“It's such a pity”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013

My partner and I went here and nearly walked out in frustration at the place. It started off great with a lovely waiter who, after we ordered, advised us it would be a 15 minute wait for some of the food which was perfect timing to relax a bit. 15 minutes later and 1 delicious plate of food arrives and yes it really was delicious! An hour from that one plate however and nothing else had arrived. Our original waiter was no where to be seen and we had to stop passing wait staff more times than we should have as to where it was and if we were ever getting another drink. Finally a guy came up with a plate of food, finally! But no, he was coming over to ask if it was our food and when we asked what it was he replied "I dunno, chicken I think" Since we ordered nothing even with chicken in it, we knew it wasn't ours. After nearly an hour and a half of waiting, the rest of the dishes came. Nearly cold and not really appetizing. We just wanted out. The first 20 minutes in that place was great, but waiting an hour and a half for cold food and still no drinks has definitely put us off going again.
