Fantastic service, very reasonable, high quality food, bit tucked away from Main Street but well worth the find and visit.

Dined here on Sat 14th Dec and cannot fault the food, service or the value for money. The young guy at the front of house got us a table despite no reservation and being very busy. Two courses for £9.95 was a steal as the food was exceptional. The salmon and haddock terrine served with oatcakes was delicious and the fish curry would have satisfied two people. £29.90 including a bottle of the house white was outstanding value for money. The waiting staff were very attentive and polite. Wonderful lunchtime experience,

I was with colleagues for a seasonal get together but we didn't feel like ordering a Christmas lunch so we stuck with the regular lunchtime menu. This was an excellent decision the food was delicious - particularly the salmon and haddock terrine starter. The service was exemplary the young man who was on the reception was, despite being busy, especially charming and attentive. The waitress who served the food was also very welcoming and offered us extra sauces and condiments. The service was also prompt despite us being a group of seven all our courses arrived almost simultaneously. Two of us decided to have steak and whilst I like mine medium rare my friend likes hers well done - the steaks arrived at the same time and both were perfect. We had the 'lunch wine' which was wonderful and very good value at £10 a bottle. Oh, finally if you choose the steak add the horseradish sauce - it's excellent.
