Just happened to walk past and it looked interested. Decor out of this world, lovely welcoming feeling to the place, staff really helpful, happy and attentive. Food was really excellent cullen skink, mussels, haggis all really good. Excellent choice of beers and lagers and wine well chilled can't wait to go back.

This was a great bar, the interior decor is stunning. Victorian old skool bar. Great choice of local ales on tap and very warm friendly atmosphere!

We went intending just to drink, but after seeing the menu decided to eat there too. I enjoyed the haggis, but was disappointed they were out of cullen skink. Beautiful pub; worth going for a drink just to see it.

Booked the restaurant over the telephone for a table for 4 on the 21/12. Reservations was taken and confirmed back. Arrived on Friday and was made welcomed by the staff. Service was good and attentive. The food was good however I would have liked the following to be detailed in the menu. The monkfish dish that I received was the tail and still had the bone or cartilage. Would have not order it if It was described "tail". My wife choose the pork fillet that looked good but was too rare. Would have like to be asked the question. How would you like the fillet of pork cooked. You would if it was a steak. Once it was cooked a little longer it was delicious. King prawns was presented well and delicious but the grading of prawns was too small for the price. The question is always would I dine here again. Maybe because the staff were great. Thanks

There seems to be a belief here that they can serve average seafood with some nice guest ales. This would be fine if they staff werent so rude, short and quiet obviously unintrested in thier work. If i ask "When and where was my fish caught" i dont want to hear "the sea earlier this week" Also they don't seem to know what quiet conversation is. I dont want to hear about what girl you were trying to get into while i try to read my paper. After i was asked if i would like anything else i dont want to be asked if i would like the bill! Trying to get rid of me! To sum up the drink selection is the food while arriving within a reasonable time was not amazing quality. The staff really let this place down.

I shall not be returning
