My girlfriend and I booked for Thursday night to take advantage of the Taste Card and what a great welcome to Edinburgh we had. The decor hits you immediately and is as impressive in person as it is in photos. A little slice of New Orleans French quarter on an Edinburgh side street. The food menu is varied but not too adventurous, the cocktail menu however will take you new places.

Friendly staff, good food, and tasty drinks at a good price, can't ask for more than that.

we got stuck in Edinburgh at the start of the festival...so to avoid the melee in the town centre we slipped off St Andys sq and into the voodoo rooms.
The service was ok and the menu limited.
However, the chicken and bacon pie with mash was excellent. Not massive portions and not cheap..but well worth a visit and the bar is sooooo well stocked that you wont leave.

We had booked a 'private booth' for a hen party. We arrived to be shown to a row of seats (too small for the amount we had booked for) and told to take off our little boppers we had on our heads! The standard of service was dire, with unfriendly staff....we had one drink and left. Wouldn't go back.

Tucked away in a side street just off the busy thoroughfare, this is a real gem of a place. Full of character, the surroundings ooze quality and comfort.

Sadly we didn't get a chance to eat there but instead enjoyed a couple of drinks in relaxing surroundings. If we lived in Edinburgh this would be a regular haunt for us. Its great
