Review of Sonder Royal Garden Apartments

Wife and 2 year old and I stayed here for two nights in May. We weren’t sure what to expect but were very pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to our suite. This was truly an apartment suite with two bedrooms, bathroom, full kitchen, and living room/dining room. Three flat screen TVs in total, and the pint of milk in the fridge was a nice touch. Great view of the courtyard garden below from each window.

Location was superb, mid-way between everything, and just a ten minute walk from the train station. Check-in was painless as was check-out. Highly recommended!More

Great group weekend away

As a group of 4 girls on a weekend away we wanted somewhere we could all stay together. The location is excellent we walked everywhere and managed to pick up the tram to the airport very close by. A really lovely apartment with everything we needed. 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms a kitchen and living room. It was perfect and just what we needed.

Very impressed

We have stayed in many hotels in Edinburgh over the years, but this was our first time in serviced apartments.
We stayed with our daughter, celebrating her birthday and she had a reception at a nearby venue, meeting a visiting royal. The location is very central, lots of nearby restaurants and the National Portrait Gallery is opposite.
We had a lovely two bedroom, both en-suite, apartment with amazing views over the Firth of Forth. Very quiet, no traffic noise. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped.
The staff were professional and helpful. Thanks for the birthday balloons, a lovely and much appreciated gesture
We would definitely return here on our next visit to Edinburgh.

Very good!

My family and I stayed in a 2 rooms apt with a beautiful view of a garden. It was comfortable, bright and super clean. In the kitchen we found everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and the location was perfect to visit the old town and get to the train station.

Absolutely beautiful

We arrived slightly early, and the kind and friendly staff ensured we were comfortable while we waited a short time for our room, which was more like a large apartment! Everything, (including kitchen, bathroom, bedding, living area) was immaculately clean; a very very comfortable bed and pillows. We even had a lovely view over the spring gardens. Two TV's, one in the bedroom and one in the living area - both with excellent reception and many channels. Great central location. There was an elevator to our floor as well, which helped immensely considering the weight of our luggage!

Gone downhill...

Very disappointed this visit. In need of refurbishment and maintenance. Many small things wrong which could have been avioided if housekeeping staff had done a better job. If you do stay make sure that you leave nothing behind. I understand that the postage must be paid but a £5 admin fee as well!! And not impressed with emails from a member of staff. All in all not a pleasant experience. We were refunded the dog charge as compensation!! £20!!
Our check in was good and welcoming but not so at check out.
