Our 3 night stay was perfect! Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The sherry was a delightful (and delicious) added touch. Jackie was the most gracious and helpful host. She helped us with cabs, directions, and restaurant recommendations. As if that’s not enough, the breakfasts were DELICIOUS! Several choices to choose from and between the 4 of us I think we tried them all. She set a high standard for our first stay on a 3 week trip that couldn’t be beaten. More

The Ben Cruachan House is a spectacular B&B! Jackie, the owner, is both accommodating and friendly. She is a fantastic cook and breakfast was always perfect. We loved our stay! We feel like she is our new best friend!

Booked a stay at Ben Cruachan and are over the moon, arrived early and was greeted by Jackie the owner. We stayed in room 5, which is amazing, as I said perfect in every way. Room is bright and a nice size, bathroom is spacious and has everything you could need. A short walk to the Royal mile shopping centre, perfect. Next morning went for breakfast and again everything you would expect from a 5 star establishment. If you are interested in booking don’t hesitate.

My wife and I stayed here our first night in Scotland. What a lovely guesthouse. It was nice that it was close to the bus stop that we took from the airport. The room was very comfortable. The host was very nice. We walked to city center from here as it is not very far. We would stay here again if we get back to Edinburgh. Thanks you for a wonderful stay.

My wife and I stayed at the Ben Cruachan Guest House for two nights during our trip to Scotland in June. We found the house to be a great base for visiting Edinburgh. The house's location allows you to walk to many great attractions. We walked to Calton Hill on the first night we were there. It was a short 10-15 minute walk. We walked to Edinburgh Castle, the National Museum of Scotland, Grassmarket, the Royal Mile, and the Royal Botanic Gardens on our second day. While there are some pretty good hills and we aren't afraid of a walk, it really wasn't very difficult. There are many restaurants within walking distance. Being able to walk to interesting places is a good thing because of the one negative about the location. Parking can be difficult. Fortunately we were there on a weekend and you can park in the permitted spots with no trouble on Friday after 6 (I think) and all day Saturday and Sunday. We found a spot on the street directly across from the house.
The house itself was great. Our host was kind and engaging. The room was comfortable and well sized. The bathroom was excellent. The shower was very large. Breakfast was outstanding.
I definitely recommend this house as a base for visiting Edinburgh.

Found this lovely Bed and Breakfast Guest House to be outstanding. It is centrally located and our hostess, Jacqui, was friendly, and extremely helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Breakfasts were absolutely delicious, providing everything you could possibly wish for! We highly recommend Ben Cruachan as a guest house that is like a home away from home. Thank you, Jacqui, for your wonderful hospitality!
