“Bland - Such Wasted Potential”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

I stopped here for lunch on a sunny but very cold Sunday afternoon and I just felt awkward. I sat on the deck basking in the sunlight but it was so deadly quiet, souless and sterile, I just couldn't enjoy it.

The chicken, spinach, salsa panini I ordered was ok but as bland as the atmosphere. The salsa tasted like the cheapest supermarket stuff. On the plus side the man who served me was absolutely lovely. Really sweet. It is because of him that I will give this place a second chance one day.

This bar has such potential. It's in a gorgeous location on the water, has plenty of space and a nice deck. If the owners put some effort into making the seating feel less sterile, popped on some jazzy 'cafe' music during the day and added some flavour to their food, it could be great.

“Good but could do with a facelift”
Reviewed March 29, 2012

The food was good and not too expensive but some of the staff could have done with a smiling course. The ship itself could do with a paint and does not look inviting from the outside, maybe that is why it was quiet. The views from the deck are amazing but again the deck could do with a bit of TLC

“Staff were rude”
Reviewed January 20, 2012

Staff were rude, food was ok for price/setting.
Staff seemed disorganised & were really unfriendly. Ruins the atmosphere in the place & made us feel unwelcome.

“Really nice, well chuffed....”
Reviewed January 6, 2012

Decided to go here to celebrate our anniversary. The food was really nice, nothing too fancy, just good honest cooking, decent portions and at a really reasonable price. Afterwards we went down to the big bar on the main deck for cocktails and music. Great choice, friendly staff and fantastic reggae - we were in our element! Will definitely come back again, can't believe we've never been before!

“An enjoyable, tasty meal and friendly service”
Reviewed October 30, 2011

Having walked along the banks of the canal looking at all the available eateries we noticed the ship moored and assumed it would be expensive but to our surprise the menu displayed offered two courses for less than £10. We entered the restaurant that was warm and inviting and were shown upatairs to the restaurant area, this was beautifully laid out with candles burning and soft music playing. We noticed that only one other couple were there and were surprised. Our waitress welcomed us in a friendly manner and showed us the menu. She returned to take our drink order while we perused the choices available. We ordered our meals and they were delivered within a resonable time and were very tasty. We would certainly recommend this restaurant and would visit again if we return to the area.
