Found this hotel last minute for a family night in Edinburgh. Loved it, the room and facility was excellent, bar / restaurant service first class. The hotel is seconds off the City By Pass so if you are driving its ideal. Buses into town are 2 minutes away and their is a trainstation literally 400 yards away which the little one loved.

Definately on my list for a repeat visit.

Don't come here if you want frills but I found this an extremely efficient hotel with the simple things done well (eg the shower temperature controls, the gym, the restaurant). Whilst you can pay a lot more in the centre of Edinburgh, the service can be poor and it felt that the staff here were trying harder due to the location

I would recommend this hotel to others, it was a little out of town, but a lot cheaper than some of the hotels in the city. It included a fantastic buffet breakfast and the train station was a 2 min walk with regular trains running every 15 min to Waverley station. The rooms were brand new and very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.

We recently stayed at this hotel and found the experience very mixed. The hotel was expensive and because of this and the Novotel Brand we expected much more. In general the staff that we dealt with were professional and a little abrupt. The mattress was a 12cm rubber mattress which will found particularly hard. We have been travelling for 5 weeks and it was certainly the hardest mattress we had encountered, this is of course a matter of choice. It was disappointing that Wi-Fi was not available and the lobby computers were not working. On the plus side the bathroom was excellent and the shower was great.

this hotel is quite a way out of Edinburgh but at the junction of the motorway going to Glasgow and right by the railway line: with windows open, it is fairly noisy. It is really a motel and considering how new it is, the guests have been quite rough on the building. Nothing - beds, chairs etc - is actually comfortable but nothing is terrible either. It is probably standard Novotel. Breakfast is a bun fight. Baths are slippery and potentially quite hazardous as there is nothing to grip although mats are available from reception. If you want a motel with a swimming pool, get a cheap rate and need to pack loads of people into one room, it may be the place for you.

The Novotel Edinburgh Park delivers an consistent experience with other Novotel hotels we have stayed in. Booking quite late in a month where Edinburgh is packed, we were lucky to find a room anywhere, but were very comfortable here. The rooms were quiet and spacious, clean and close to the train station (approx. 15 min into the city) but there isn't really much nearby- no pubs or restaurants etc.

Booked this hotel online on Novotel's own website. Overnight stay with husband and 2 children, ages 9 & 11 yrs.
Convenient location close to Edinburgh Park train station with cheap fares into Edinburgh Waverley Station, journey only 9 mins. Retail park accross the road where you can pick up any items from tescos.
Excellent service from all members of staff. Friendly and efficient check-in and check-out service.
Room and bathroom were spacious and spotlessly clean, and everything was in working order. Didn't use internet connection. Plenty of towels available, along with complimentary toiletries, tea, coffee & hot chocolate. Internet access available in reception area.
Pool was lovely - though a little chilly! Changing rooms spotlessly clean (and warm!) with plenty of towels provided.
Breakfast - excellent serving times of 7am -12noon. Latest times we have come across and excellent for a leisurely lie-in! Plenty of variety at breakfast and staff were helpful and polite.
Would definitely stay here again.
