I've stayed here plenty of times for work and it is ideally situated within walking distance of the business parks around South Gyle. Edinburgh Park station is a two minute walk away which is then a five minute journey (£2.50 return) to Haymarket.
The hotel itself is pretty new - the rooms are usual Novotel standard with flatscreen TVs, sofas, tea and coffee and iron.
If you get a room next to the motorway or the railway track, there can be problems with noise however. It's best to ask for one of the rooms on the front side of the hotel.
Staff are good and very friendly. There is a decent gym and a small pool.
Breakfast is average for a buffet - not much in the way of fruit but plenty of cereals, pastries and full English.
Whilst certainly not in the prettiest of areas, if you can get a cheap deal, the proximity to the station means it could be a good bet if you're visiting Edinburgh as a tourist.More
