“Nice Hotel”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

Bit of a confusion getting to the hotel if you driving. Very nice newish hotel. Directly across from the KFC and Krispy Creme outlet (yummm). Check-in was pleasant and efficient if a bit slow. Our room keys were a problem so we had to go down to reception twice to fix. Rooms were good size, modern. Bathrooms were great. Very clean and neat. No hotel info book in the room or room service menus so we had to call reception to find out everything.Free parking. Didnt get to use the pool but looked amazing.
Breakfast was good and restaurant was very nice. Limited selection but sufficient. Service was excellent.
Located 2mins walk to train station which is a 10min trip into the center of Edinburgh town. Hotel in a bit of an office park/industrial area so no restaurants/eateries nearby. Sort of an outlet mall type place closeby but we didnt have time to look around.

Booked an overnight dinner bed and breakfast for family celebration. Children thoroughly enjoyed it especially the pool. Rooms were fine as were the facilities. The external decor is not good as building work going on but that will be resolved soon enough. Easy accesss from motorway and good transport links into town. Situated beside retail park and the monumentally popular Krispy Kreme doughnut place. Food nice at breakfast and dinner offer 3 courses for £21 seemed fair. I thought the chilodrens meals which were not listed on website were great value. 3-6 years 3 courses and a drink for £4,95. &years upwards the same deal but for £7.95 I think. Food was nice and the kids liked it.Would stay again.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of April, the location is excellent being 10 minutes train ride from the centre of Edinburgh (the train station is 1 minute walk away and only £3 return) If the hotel food is not to your taste then there is a KFC & Krispy Kreme donut outlet across the street and a tesco superstore 5 minutes’ walk away. The room was clean and well set out, however only 2 teabags were provided. We had to put up with up-sale pitch when we checked in and the wi-fi is not included in the room price. The pool is OK neither good nor bad, and there is a steam room and small gym available. Overall a good stay with the location being the best part of the hotel.

Was looking for a Saturday night to allow a bit of shopping and a night in the capital and glad I picked the Novotel at Edin' Park. First thoughts are it's a bit far out but with the train station a hundred yards away with trains every 15mins and £6 return for 4 of us that matters little. Trains run until after midnight and with free parking at the hotel it just gets better. Children stay free up to 16 and with KFC across the road they seemed happy although certainly not recommending that!
Hotel is well kitted out, lovely pool, gym, nice staff etc and I'd recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms facing north will hear trains frequently but well soundproofed.

Better than a Premier Inn without losing any of the peace and quiet you want when you're away on work. Good breakfast, excellent standard of accommodation and very helpful staff, and at £180 for three nights it wasn't badly priced at all.

Lovely modern hotel ideally situated for city break to Edinburgh. Hotel has good facilities inc. gym and a small swimming pool and with breakfast included in our deal was great price overall. Just note - sofa bed a bit on the small side for 2 older kids (we have 13 + 10 yr old)

There was a lots of construction work around the hotel whilst they put a tram line in around Edinburgh however this didn't have much of an effect on our stay. There is a train station nearby so easier to get to the city centre and the hotel itself was great, staff were helpful and rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffets were great too! Would highly recommend, our daughter cried all the way home as she wanted to stay so that speaks for itself!
