We booked this hotel for one night to attend a friend's wedding in Edinburgh. For a rate of 85/ night for an ensuite facility, we were very disappointed with the kind of accommodation we had. The ensuite facility appears to be a small cubicle in the corner of the room with the shower too small that we kept banging our shoulders or elbows to the sides of the walls. The tea facility was there, but teabags appear old and the small milk cartons were covered with dusts. The window has no blinds but has dark curtains that we had to close everytime we get dressed as the people in the streets have a good view of the inside of our room. After a few mins of checking in, we went outside for a walk, and when we came back to the room. we discovered that the electricity had tripped off. We couldn't find anybody in the hotel so we phoned up the owner's mobile which was posted on the front door. They came and fixed the problem but the light in the bathroom remained defective. We had to take a shower and do the business in the toilet with the door open as it was completely dark! The water in the shower was cold. The beddings and towels have a musty smell! The following morning, we came down for breakfast and discovered that they are already closed at 0915. We were not informed of the time of the breakfast window upon checking in. We were not very impressed at all with this guesthouse and unless changes are made, would not recommend this to anyone.
