If you book these apartments don't stay in number 4 as there is a generator for another building outside the bedroom window which is on all the time. We couldn't open the windows because of the noise so the bedrooms were hot and stuffy at night. Great location for site seeing and don't be put off by the grotty area, it's OK. Broken floor tiles in the kitchen, bed uncomfortable as the mattresses were so thin, we complained and they changed one mattress but left the other. I'd definitely go back to Edinburgh but not to these apartments

Located just out of reach of the noise and goings on of the Royal Mile (which is great when you have small children) so not loud and rowdy in the evening but still near enough to reach all the attractions. The apartment was well turned out, very modern. Had everything you needed. Comfortable, cosy and clean. Would recommend.

This appartment was very good. large kitchen with good size oven and washer/dryer which was a bonus. 2 seperate bedrooms that were a good size and a seperate lounge room with a dvd player. it was a great location with just a short walk to the royal mile. I would highly recommend this appartment.

Stayed at the Nicholson Apartments as this was working out better value for money then if staying at a hotel.
You have to collect the keys from a shop which is on the Royal Mile and this was a slight pain as it doesn't make it easy when you have a suitcase to lug up a busy high street.
For the first 2 nights of out stay we were in Apartment 1 which I was lovely and big nice and clean and has everything you need for self catering! The tea, coffee, sugar, milk was a nice touch and even the chocolate on the bed was a lovely thought!
The apartments are in a brilliant location about a 5 min walk to the Royal mile which host most of the popular attractions. Edinburgh Castle is just at the top of the Royal Mile about a 10 min walk from the apartments. On our last night we had to move to Apartment 6 this wasn't as big as Apartment 1 but was the same high standard! Would recommend these apartments to everyone really good value for money at £75 a night and would defiantly stay here again for my next trip to Edinburgh!
