We were a party of 4 old school friend - female ,'fifty something' . We really enjoyed staying in this lovely apartment. It was warm , clean and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable (our friend who slept in the sitting room reports being every bit as comfortable at the rest of us).
The living room is more spacious than the photos depict. Plenty of room for us all.
The location couldn't be better for exploring the New Town and the Old Town. We walked most of the time. There are certainly plenty of good bars and restaurants easily within walking distance. Despite being so near the centre the street outside the apartment was not noisy.
The only slight draw back was the parking - but we had been warned! It isn't so bad overnight and at the weekend but it might be worth locating a long stay option if you are there during the week. It was quite a hike to the nearest , free, on street parking.
Best of all -come by public transport! Edinburgh city centre is not the easiest to negotiate by car.

We stayed here as a family of four for 3 nights in mid-July 2014 . This apartment is perfectly-situated and absolutely stunning inside. It had fabulous natural light , everything has been thought of, and it has great ambience. It's worth considering fully your parking options before going but truthfully there are parking spaces across from the flat and it's free to park on Sunday so with a few pounds of coins invested in the meter you can park fairly comfortably over a 3-night long-weekend. Loved it, so did my family, we fully-intend to return. Thank you Keith from Maggie & Family
