We booked from Australia a month or so in advance and managed to get a reasonable time to start. At Stg55 per head it was quite expensive, but it was really good, if somewhat filling. The course were small, but very good. The highlights for us included the Lindisfarne oyster dill with cheese truffle, beetroot, redcurrant and leek. Later the Scottish hogget, with pink fir potato and ewes curds also hit the spot. That isn't to denigrate the other offerings which were all excellent. The wine list included such wines as an Argentinian sparkling and Falerio and a Catarrato Cello Bianca fro Sicily.
It was a good job that we walked from our hotel as the return walk helped to settle the meal down.
