Grant is so passionate about his culture and history. He made the trip exciting, and educational. He brought the land of Scotland alive. I come from an Irish background. Growing up I always heard stories of Ireland's resilience, spirit, and history. Grant captured Scotland in a similar manner. The topography was stunning and scenic, but it was Grants passion for his culture that made it feel like home. It was an emotional experience. This tour captured the Scottish hospitality and culture. It was inspiring and moving. Glen Coe was outstanding. The highlands are literally a dream come true. I am now a FANNNN of Scotland because of this amazing experience. Thanks Grant for the stories and the soulful connection you have to your land. It truly inspired me to feel the same about my culture, and people.

What a marvellous tour. To start with, our tour guide and driver was entertaining and knowledgeable. Thanks, Mac (yes, I'm sure you're checking the reviews ...), for your tall tales, myths, facts and anecdotes of times gone by and today. Love that playlist, btw. James has provided a list of the distilleries we visited in his review (James was one of those I shared a Bowmore cottage with). Suffice to say, the tastings were grand, and I came away with far more knowledge of whisky making than I had before. Regarding accomodation - the cottages are comfortable, clean and have all you need. Mac ensured we had all the makings for breakfast including that Scottish staple of porridge.
Every stop along the way was beautiful, with something of interest to absorb.
Note: Mac has to be commended for his diligence in clearing each stop we made of rubbish, collecting others' debris for proper disposal. So a word if you're travelling - do dispose of your rubbish properly, and save the Macs of this world a chore!

Our family of three had a truly memorable day on our recent tour. Of course, the sights were the centerpiece of the trip but they were further enhanced by our knowledgeable, humorous, easygoing driver John M. Beginning with the friendly, efficient Rabbie’s staff to the well-timed short stops to the enjoyable, informative longer stops it proved to be a highlight of our time in Scotland.

We embadked on this with some trepidation. We are independant travellers and would never normally consider an escorted tour or 'coach trip'. Rabbies and our guide, Mac, have changed our minds.

We both love whisky and especially Islay whisky - but how could we both taste it, when the distilleries are remote and neither of us will agree to be designated driver? So we decided to risk a 'coach trip', and it really paid off.

Mac was superb. He has an enormous repertoire of folk tales and funny anecdotes to keep you entertained during the drives. Every toilet stop is picturesque. We were never bored. He also made sure we got a little extra in the distilleries - and here is the real value is seeing distilleries on a tour like this: the tour company can always get bit extra as the distilleries know they are bringing hundreds of people a year and want them to keep coming.

Mac also found time to squeeze in distilleries not on the itinerary, where they were open and accessible. In the end we went to:

Oban (time for a tasting flight during the lunch break)
Bowmore (tour and tasting)
Bunnahabhain (a wee dram in thr shop - they were undergoing renovation)
Bruichladdich (tasting)
Kilchoman (tour and tasting)
Ardbeg (tour, tasting and lunch - they won best tour guide for us!)
Lagavulin (warehouse experience: we got to suck the whisky from the cask - great fun but by far the most expensive at £30. I suppose Lagavulin can charge what they like...)
Laphroaig (tour and tasting)

Bowmore cotteges where we stayed are also perfect. A great location. Plenty of nearby restaurants, and well equipped kitchens if you want to self cater. Food to make good breakfasts is provided.

Other travelers were also great - all whisky fans doing it for the same reason we were.

This was a really good tour. We got a chance to visit a number of very scenic locations in addition to stopping (and getting a chance to enter) Doune Castle and Inveraray Castle. Our tour guide John was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. He also has a knack for taking fantastic photos, so definitely don't shy away from asking him to take a photo of you and your group, the best photo of my entire trip was taken by him (thank you John )
There are a number of beautiful areas that you will pass through, and you will get a chance to actually step out and take photos of some of these beautiful locations.
The tour does include time for lunch in Inveraray. There is a lot of time spent on the bus, but it's honestly enjoyable, and you'll get plenty of bathroom or snack breaks along the route.
Overall, I'd highly recommend this tour.
