Stayed at the inn last week for week whilst in Edinburgh on business. Handy position on main road into town from the airport, but the bus stop outside combined with the daily traffic flow make the rooms at front of house very Noisey. Most bus routes pass by, and access to south gyle business park is a quick no12 ride from over the road. Room was ok, a bit dated in terms of decor, bed a bit soft. Breakfast has a good selection of cereal, bread, jams etc and Toby evening food and attentive well mannered waiting and bar staff more than make up for the little issues.

Will return in the near future as it is one of a preferred set of hotels that I will use on and off over the next 8 months.

Room Tip: Try to request a room at the back, although after reading this, everybody will be !!!!!

The hotel was nice looking and a good price. The carvery dinner was tasty and a good deal.

Kids shared a fold out sofa. The beds were lumpy, husband and I kept rolling into each other in the middle.

Located about 30 minutes west of Edinburgh center by car.

Very pleasantly surprised, nothing OTT, rooms clean, carvery good value, continental breakfast a bit hit and miss. Value for money. Ideal for airport/exhibition centre. Pleasant location. Easy access off motorway.

Room Tip: Due to traffic/revellers, pick a room overlooking the carpark/back. Would stay again.

Toby Carvery is very good value for money. The all you can eat breakfast for £3.99 is excellent. It is handy for Edinburgh Zoo, the reason for our booking.

The room we were given was a single room with a double bed in it. Apart from the bed everything else was kitted out for a single person. Only one small usable draw to unpack into because the other small draw contained two hairdryers, one of which was fixed to the draw bottom, the wardrobe was just two small rails between two walls, no door. Only one bedside table because the other side of the bed was the bathroom door. To put two people into this room and charge full price is extortionate, the receptionist said they couldn't move us but would see the manager about reducing the charge, this did not materialize. Health and safety would be appalled at the lack of room to move around. They seem to spend more time running the carvery to the detriment of the hotel. We will not be going back. There was fluff balls on the bathroom floor and the television remote was thick with dust.

Room Tip: Don't Bother. There are other hotels to stay in and you can still take advantage of the Toby Car...

The staff are very pleasant, obliging and very helpful. The bar area is really good and while the room was a little dated, it was fine. welcoming, hard working I was disappointed with the breakfast, not much of a choice but the carvery was good.

The staff are welcoming, hard working and a credit to the place. The bar area is fine. The included continental breakfast was good.

The rooms (at least the one we were in) felt dated and in need of a deep clean. Free parking and proximity to the airport are big selling points. It wasn't even particularly dear.

Come on! A bit of effort and this could be really nice!

Stayed there for one night. We had to go through the restaurant to go to our room which is not a fun thing to do. The room is big, nice and clean. The bathroom is huge. Has cable TV. Good view of the street. Surroundings are clean. Many halal shops for muslims.
