Arriving early for our check in we were allowed to leave our luggage and were told we would be given a phone call when the room was ready (which they did).
We were booked into the Moscow room for three nights. On first impression the room is very nice, seemed clean and stylish. There were a few issues, the mirrorred light did not work, the bedside tables were worn and scratched, one bedside lamp did not always work. The room was clean but seemed a little tired and run down, as if it all needed a re-paint and touch up.
When we checked in we were given a welcome pack (it was a letter) with some information about the stay. However in the room there is no information on breakfast times, check out times or anything that would normally help you with your stay.
We went down to the bar to get our free rum based drunk, nice touch but would be better to just offer any drink for free. The bar area is very glam and the staff are friendly. The money seems to be spent in this area as this is all very clean with a lot of staff meandering about.
We had a good nights sleep and were not affected by any noise from the club, the bed was comfy and the rainfall shower over the bath was lovely. A nice range of toiletries were provided.
We went down for breakfast (hoping that we had not missed out as we did not know what time they were serving residents until). The staff were good but I do think that a seperate menu should be provided for residents as it is quite unclear what you can have as all the prices are stated as if you are a customer from off the street. The food was nicely cooked.
All in all a comfortable stay but not worth the money. If you want more comfort and attention to detail stay at Tigerlilly. Style over substance at Le Monde.

I stayed in le monde in-between Xmas and new year where I was planning to get engaged to my girlfriend.
I contacted to hotel to advise of my plans they couldn't have been more helpful
From an exceptional room to Rose petal turn down everything was perfect.
I would highly recommend this hotel not only for it's fantastic service and rooms but also the location is excellent for visiting Edinburgh s many attractions

Superb thanks

Room Tip: Well worth upgrading to a suite if the budget can stretch you won't be disappointed.

Had two nights here. The property is right in the centre of Edinburgh, and is a smart stylish boutique hotel with a busy restaurant and bar downstairs. I stayed in the Atlantis room.

In brief, comfy bed with nice sheets, and a fish tank at its head (which buzzed annoyingly all night). Couldnt open the windows. A lot of ambient noise, so not a great night's sleep. Bathroom smart and modern. Staff very friendly. Probably wouldnt return as too noisy.

Had a good meal, lovely bottle of wine. Service was average. Overall good meal. At end of our meal we watched the manager(girl with pink striped shirt) make a liqueur coffee, she had extra whipped cream so decided to dip her fingers in and lick the cream off fingers as she walked along bar...then went into shortbread tin with the same hand she was licking and decided to eat shortbread infront of customers. She didn't even wash her hands at any stage of this which I am absolutely disgusted by!!!

Bar was great...service a bit tardy but good enough....prices.......mmmm!
Bedroom was chic and well designed........£110 for a late deal on a Monday in January was fine but well over £200 usually is a bit pretentious!

Room Tip: Book late to get decent rate
