Stayed at Kingsburgh House for our first time and if you are travelling to Edinburgh this is the place to stay. Aswell as being conveniently situated for the City centre, the house and the rooms are immaculate, clean and luxurious. The attention to detail is impressive from the warm welcome on arrival, the complimentary sherry and chocolates in the room to the huge selection of breakfast food including a traditional Scottish cooked breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed our night and we will return again soon.

We absolutely adore staying at The Kingsburgh in Edinburgh! You always receive a warm & friendly welcome from Andrena & Alan, along with a large drink! ;)
We always stay in "The Kingsburgh" room which is the largest of the guest rooms. It has a HUGE 4 poster bed with beautiful ensuite and a decanter full of the best sherry! The decor is simply gorgeous and there is always extremely informative & helpful advice at hand about "things to do & see" in and around Edinburgh.
The breakfasts are very generous and will certainly set you up for the day! Gorgeous food! Nothing is too much trouble - Andrena & Alan will always make sure you are very well looked after. The personal touches are everywhere & make you feel like part of the family.
Edinburgh Zoo is about 5 minutes walk down the street and we went to see the Giant Pandas! Murrayfield Rugby Stadium is right across the road for any sports fans.
Edinburgh city centre is about 10mins away on the bus (which are every 10mins from right outside the guest house) or taxi.
We love The Kingsburgh and we think you will too! It's a beautiful hidden gem. :-)

Room Tip: All the rooms are fabulous with 4 poster beds and ensuites. The Kingsburgh Suite is our favourite &a...

Myself and my boyfriend stayed over the Jubilee weekend and we were so impressed with the Kingsburgh hotel. We went into Edinburgh centre most days which we had no problem with as the buses are so regular. The rooms are spacious. Love the chocolates and sherry and the fact that every day the tea and cofee (and chocolates!) were topped up! I think the most impressive thing is breakfast! You can have whatever you want, but beware - the fulll scottish is huge and beat my boyfriend which doesn't happen very often! A half portion was needed for me! I can't remember the lady's name that was there for our whole stay but she always had a smile on her face and was very helpful. We will definitely choose the kingsburgh when we come back. I can't fault it!

What a fantastic welcome, the level of which was maintained throughout our stay. Andrena was an absolute star and the Kingsburgh cannot be recommended highly enough.

The reviews we read we're spot on, great welcome with card and chocs for our wedding anniversary. Room was large with everything you needed including your own decanter of sherry! So near to both the city and the countryside, with excellent bus services so you don't actually need the car. Will definitely recommend to all who like a little luxury. Thanks for a brilliant break.

Room Tip: We were in a four poster double room, bit of road noise if window open but not too loud to keep you...

We had a very good stay here. We were in the four poster room and it was very comfortable, a good size room and bathroom. The room was luxuriously appointed, with everything you could possibly need. We were worried that there would be too much traffic noise, but in fact, it was quiet at night and we slept very well. Breakfasts were wonderful, so much choice of superb fresh food, and numerous cooked options to choose from. The proprietor was charming and very welcoming. The bed was comfortable and the linens good quality. One small point is that the mattress didn't seem to fit the bed frame properly, there was a big gap between the mattress and the frame. The frame was huge so I imagine one would need to have a bespoke mattress made. The location is great, you can walk into the centre (20mins) or you can catch one of the numerous buses that stop right outside. You can park your car safely off road in the grounds of the lovely old house. A great place to stay and we would recommend it.

Room Tip: We loved the four poster room!

Very nice, comfortable room in this charming B & B. Location was excellent – not in the City Centre, but bus stops were within a few steps of the front door. The full breakfast was delicious and filling. The owners were very helpful with brochures and suggestions of things to do and see. Highly recommended.
