Have just returned from a weekend in Edinburgh. We stayed at the Premier Inn at Newcraighall and couldn't have asked for more. The hotel itself was spotless with good sized rooms and a lovely bathroom. The staff are so helpful and informative. There is a notice board at reception giving details of places to visit and travel information. The train station is a 5 minute walk away and stops in central Edinburgh (Waverley), takes about 10 minutes although there is no service on a Sunday but there are busses. The hotel can print off bus and train timetables. There is a shopping centre close by with a good assortment of shops and restaurants. Next door is the Cuddie Brae pub/restaurant which serves a good assortment of food and is also a nice place to enjoy a drink.
Our stay coincided with the Tattoo and the Fringe which made central Edinburgh really busy so it was nice to be staying slightly out of the centre as it was so easy to travel about.
I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to my next visit which hopefully won't be too far away!More
