Stayed two nights (Fri & Sat at £49 per night) to attend a friend's golf weekend in Edinburgh.
As the UK buyer of travel for a major international organisation and a very regular business traveller I was a little concerned about staying in a 'budget' hotel, but hey... this time I was paying the bill, not the company.
I was very pleased with this property. You know you're not going to get anything flash in this segment of the market but the room was large, very clean, warm and well presented. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and there were no issues with inconsiderate guests or noise/disturbance. The accommodation looked very new (although it's not) and much fresher than the Travelodge I stayed in for a stag weekend in Brighton earlier this year (which was a genuinely unimpressive and dirty property).
The hotel's location is not the most convenient if you're going to the city centre (£12.50 cab ride) but it is very accessible from the A1 and is way less expensive than staying in the city.
All in all I was impressed enough to write this review, which demonstrates my level of satisfaction with this hotel.More
