I came here midweek with 3 friends for the first time. The restaurant has a very nice shabby chic decor and the staff were very welcoming. We shared starters: Thai fish cakes, cured trout and the bread with nut dip. The cured trout with beetroot was delicious as we're the fish cakes. We then shared a sea food platter which was huge and excellent quality and one person had chicken. The staff could not have been nicer. Will definitely return.

My partner & I were heading home on a Saturday nite & decided to try to find somewhere for dinner. We past the Apairy on our way home so decided to try to get a table for dinner
When we entered the place was busy, but we asked if it was possible to get a table.
We were greeted warmly & were soon seated, from start to finish the staff couldnt have been nicer.
We enjoyed a lovely meal, including the meat sharing board. It was amazing, could have served 3 people rather than two.
We went on to enjoy puddings & lovely desert wine.
Our first visit was a success & we will be back.
So much choose on menu, we want to try it all
Thumbs up on all aspects

Great variety. Some Scottish dishes, but most of the menu has influences from all over. We appreciated that it was easy to get gluten free dishes.

Popped in here by chance based on them having a brunch menu. Lovely. French toast with bacon hit the spot!. Service was friendly and efficient.
Very typical for Edinburgh, its a converted old bank which still has the safe door on show as a talking point. It was an early visit with only a few people in the restaurant/cafe and it felt noisy due to the hall like proportions of the old bank.
However, the main menu looked interesting and reasonably priced, will plan to drop by again in the future.
