This was a bit of a 'spur of the moment' activity during our visit to Edinburgh.
It passed an hour and was good fun - the actors who work in these dungeons were excellent and although I am a bit shy, I didn't feel threatened by the things they were asking us to do. The 2 rides are great and although the entry fee is a little expensive it is something to add to the creepiness that is Edinburgh at night.

Whilst visiting Edinburgh during the Christmas break, we decided to visit the Edinburgh Dungeon. So glad we did. We weren't sure what to expect as none of us had visited any of the dungeons before. The actors were so professional and the audience interaction was just right. Favourite chambers had to be the boat ride and graveyard scene.

Thank Luke W

We went in not really knowing anything about the tour. I thought it was expensive but now I've been I can say its worth every penny. It was funny, really scary and very interactive. All the actors were amazing and the props are brilliant. You really can feel it all in your bones. The drop ride was a real bonus and the photos were hilarious. Well done to everyone involved, even the lady in the shop was jolly and entertaining. We would all highly recommend it. Our youngest is 10 and I think any younger than 8 would find it too frightening

Hello and thanks for your comments. We're glad to hear you felt the tour was good value for money and enjoyed the fun/scares and participative elements of the experience. Your kind comments will be shared with the performance and theming teams. We generally don't recommend the Dungeon for under 8's but leave it to parental discretion as each child differs so much.
Many thanks for your recommendation.

I visited the Edinburgh Dungeon on 14/11/2013, finding the attraction could not be easier right next to the station. I and a Friend went here as I had never visited a dungeon yet he had I was very apprehensive about the attraction but once we were there you just go with it! We were in a small group on the tour of about 8 including us. The tour in some parts is a very good laugh yet in others very scary! The tour lasted about 60mins so not very long. My friend who I went with aid it was not as scary as the London or the York one so it all depends how easily you get scared!

Hello and thanks for leaving us a review. We're glad to hear you found us easily (We're super central!) and that you both laughed and were a little scared. We regularly hear that we are the scariest of the 8 Dungeons but everyone's capacity for scare varies! We do aim for a balance of fun with the scare though. The tour lasts 80 minutes and we do measure perceived dwell time to ensure that the experience matches this.
Many thanks.
