We stayed from 28th Feb until 2nd Mar. The only noise we suffered over the weekend was at 04:00 on our second night when the fire alarm went off but by the time we got to the door of the room it had stopped, false alarm apparently.
Our room was good with comfortable bed and pillows and the shower/toilet pod was very good. The rooms aren't massive but for a weekend stay was all we needed.
The buffet breakfasts were good, with everything you would expect for a full Scottish breakfast as well as serving continental breakfast from as early as 04:00 in the morning.
The 12:00 checkout also suited us for catching our train home.
All in all I would recommend this hotel, especially as it is new and has that new building smell. The room keys use proximity technology so no keys, no swiping cards, just hold the key card up against the sensor. Note this is also used in the lifts where before you can go up in the lift you have to use your key card to activate the lift before pressing the button.More
