I was underwhelmed by both the food and service.

The food was average, nothing special and overpriced for the quality.

The service was slow and quite a few mistakes were made even though the place was nearly empty.

Luckily we knew that it was BYOB but there is no mention of this anywhere. The staff are also unable to make recommendations of where to go to get wine/beer and there were many, many people who left on account of this.

As a local you get the impression that they are not concerned about repeat business.

With a bit of effort this place could be good but someone will have to make an effort.

This place used to be called Sultans Kitchen as i found out from a little bit of googling!

From what i could gather, it was the same owners as before, just a name change.

The poor girls who were serving i felt very sorry for. It certainly wasnt their fault that the food was so bad.

This restaurant doesnt have a liquor licence so make sure you BYOB if you want an alcoholic drink

The meals in this place are between £10-£16 per meal. Certainly not cheap.

We ordered bacalhau a bras (salted cod with potatoes, onion and bound with egg), fish and chips, salmon and a salmon tagliatelli.

The bachalhau-a-bras arrived and just looked appalling. A pile of mush on a plate like a gone wrong scrambled egg. Taste wise it was a bit too salty with not much other flavour.

The fish and chips were just ok. The chips were undercooked.

The salmon was a small piece of salmon with 5 small potatoes. And a plain undressed bit of salad on a saucer.

The Salmon Tagliatelli was actually Linguini, and was so salty that i thought someone had poured an entire bag of salt into it. It was sent back and the chef came out. His excuse was that he had used a different type of salt so didnt know how salty it was!! He cooked it again, and the second time it was still salty but also very bland. I could have cooked better myself at home.

The chef came out again and we told him that all of the meals had been poor. For the cost of the food, i was expecting something that was edible and tasty. What i got was something i wouldnt feed my dog.

It was not just ourselves that complained - the only thing on the bill for us that was worth paying for was the glass of sprite which at £2.30 was also expensive!

The table behind us also had their piri piri chicken sent back as there was no piri piri on it! The chef came out with a jar of sauce and told the customer to put it on himself!!!!! When he said that on the menu the meal states it is cooked in piri piri sauce, the chef told them that he "forgot" to do it. Considering there were only 3 tables eating in the restaurant i couldnt understand how he had managed to forget!

Seriously, do not eat here. This is by far the WORST place i have ever eaten. Set your money on fire before you eat here. At least you will get the pleasure of flames warming your hands.
