Castle view is a small apartment in a grade A listed bldg. The flat is on 3rd floor with a wonderful view of the back of The Castle. The location is superb right in the heart of the City within walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars and historic sites. It is small and comfortabe for 2 only but we'll maintained and furnished
We spent five nights at the Castle View Apt. We loved it. Wonderful view of the castle, short walk to the Royal Mile, many restaurant options nearby. Apartment is nicely furnished and kitchen is very well equipped with modern appliances. Clothes washer/dryer worked perfectly. Owner is delightful and met us upon arrival for very helpful orientation. Strong and dependable wifi. We will definitely return.
We had a great time at Castle View. The flat is clean, bright and well furnished, with a fantastic view up to the Castle Rock out of the window. It's very well located for the back entrance of the Princes Street Gardens and only 10-15 minutes walk from Waverley Station and (around the back of the castle in the other direction) from Princes Street itself. It's enough off the beaten track to be quiet in the evenings. Angus greeted us on arrival, and Kitty was very helpful (even when we inconvenienced her by managing to leave a coat behind at the end of our stay). We'd certainly stay here again.
This apartment was perfect for our stay in Edinburgh. With a view of the Edinburgh Castle from the living room window, it was within walking distance to all major sites. There is a great market on Saturdays that we visited for fresh coffee, cheese, sandwiches, and more--steps from the front door. The apartment itself had everything we needed to feel at home: great bathroom with tub/shower, soft towels, full kitchen, washer/dryer, helpful city guides and books, comfortable bed...amazing. Communication with the host was excellent and Kitty was able to recommend some great restaurants and shops for our visit. We will definitely stay here again.
Lovely flat with spectacular view of castle from lounge window. Just as described. Comfortable bed and well appointed kitchen with dishwasher (for those of you who couldn't do without one).
Lots of places to eat nearby and a local supermarket for anything you may have forgotten.
Princess Street is also only a short walk away.
Couldn't be beaten for accessibility.
A little gem
A delightful apartment close to all the attractions and shops. A few kitchen items missing but I'm sure this will be remedied.

We stayed in the apartment during the first week of October. On arrival we were met by the owner and told there was a problem with the boiler, this resulted in us being unable to use hot water and the heating. Despite this we enjoyed our stay, the apartment is in a fantastic location and is full of home comforts. The bed is probably the best I have ever stayed in away from home, the robes were also a nice touch. Edinburgh is a beautiful city and this was such a lovely place to explore it from. We raised our concerns with the owner when we returned home, she was very apologetic about the boiler and gave us a nightly refund for the inconvenience.
