“I won't be a Roamin' anywhere else”

Fantastic food, lovely ambience and super-friendly staff made my night here one to remember. The place has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere in the evening making this a great spot to hang out with friends. It ain't too tough on the pocket either. Starter of gnocchi with sausage was cooked to perfection with the gnocchi having just the right texture. A main of lamb, chorizo and bean stew proved to be a delectable winter warmer on a cold night in the capital. Christmas 'mince meat' cheesecake was a thoughtful special and filled me full of cheer. A cracking selection of beers meant we hung around for ages after our three courses. All in all a knockout, one of the best places to eat out in Edinburgh.

“Casual dining at its best”
Reviewed December 23, 2012

Went here for a friend's birthday and had a lovely time. A trio of pestos with gorgeous bread, Rabbit done to perfection and super yummy rosemary roasted new potatoes followed by a delightful little cheesecake. The coffee was so good I had a second double espresso!! We were served by Lucy and the service like the food was very good. We will definitely go here again. Soon. I'm looking forward to going back to check out the brunches too. I believe it is a cafe during the day that is family and dog friendly.

“Great new addition to the New Town”

Very friendly and very relaxed, great coffee and tasty simple food. Very much a family concern, they seem to have got off to a great start. What a difference to the interior, a great place to sit and chill.

“Great Coffee, Good Food, A Wee Gem.”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

Deli, Cafe, Restaurant, Bistro.
All of the above really! This place defies the standard pigeon holes and just provides a good place to eat, drink, chat and relax. There should be more places that have as much imagination and adaptability. And the coffee is excellent as is the food.

Support this place, it needs to do well and be a trend setter.
