“Perfect base for work and holiday”
Reviewed June 25, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

This cozy and immaculately presented flat was the perfect base for my husband, one year old son and me. We were in Edinburgh for just over a week, and so having the use of a kitchen and washing machine/dryer was really helpful. The flat is ideally located (right under the Castle!) for both the EICC and the University of Edinburgh, as well as all of the touristy things. Lynne was incredibly welcoming and helpful - she supplied a cot, highchair, baby bowls/cutlery as well as toys and books for our son, all of which made our stay easier and more like home. We would definitely stay here again.

“Home away from home”
Reviewed January 20, 2016 for a stay in October 2015

This place was fantastic - all the convenience of home and centrally located. The apartment was neat, tidy, clean and absolutely comfortable. The view from the kitchen window looked directly up to Edinburgh Castle, thats how close the Royal Mile was. Grassmarket was a lively and vibrant area that I felt safe to walk around solo after dark. Supermarket was one block up the road with weekend markets close by.
I left the best for last, Lynne my host was an absolute pleasure to deal with, made me feel at home and ensured I felt comfortable with my stay.
Thank you Lynne, I have already recommended Grassmarket 202 to some friends and I will definitely be coming back.

“Excellent choice!!”
Reviewed January 13, 2016 for a stay in December 2015

Couldn't be happier with our choice of 202 Grassmarket! Brilliant location (but I had done my homework). Very central location in the old town but also quiet. Entry to the apartment lets it down a little. Even had a view of Edinburgh Castle from our kitchen and bedroom window. Great shower with plenty of hot water. Heaps pf pubs/restaurants very close by and also a Sainsburys. Lynne had put an electric blanket on the bed which we didn't need as the apartment was so warm. She also thoughtfully supplied a Christmas tree for our Christmas/Hogmanay stay.

“Great Location and Quiet”
Reviewed June 18, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Apartment was as described. Lynne was very prompt when communicating and was able to accommodate our very early arrival. She met us on arrival and showed us around the apartment and answered all of our questions and had a very helpful binder with information which made our stay easier. Although you are close to Grassmarket the apartment is quiet.
Grocery store is a block away and provided a decent selection to make our meals. We were able to walk to most tourist sights. Would sure recommend taking the walk up Arthur's Seat. The views and scenery on the way up are worth the effort. Was very convenient to have a washing machine. Thanks Lynne

“Cosy five star apartment”
Reviewed November 27, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Stayed in the apartment for 4 nights. Location is just around the corner of Grassmarket with kitchen view towards the castle. Safe and gated complex. Apartment was clean and coffee and tea provided. Owner is in all ways a good host. Would recommend this accommodation for a few nights or for weeks, because it is a home away from home.
From the airport you can reach it in many ways (taxi, tram, airlinkbus, regular bus) all for different budgets and travel time. Supermarket a few steps away. Wifi works perfect.

“Excellent flat in a great location”

I stayed with my husband and 11 year old daughter, for three nights. The flat was very comfortable (my husband has a bad back and the bed was perfect for him) and well equipped and the location was excellent.

The Coffee Mill was a great cafe to have breakfast with nice coffee. We had lovely views of the castle from the kitchen and bedroom, we watch the Tattoo fireworks from the bedroom and got some great pics.

The owner Lynne was lovely and very helpful. I'd defiantly repeat book.

“Central Location - Great Facilities”
Reviewed July 16, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

My partner and I stayed in this apartment for a 4 night city break and really enjoyed it. The location of the apartment is spot on, within walking distance of most attractions and sights in Edinburgh. The apartment is round the back of a block and although there was a little outside noise not enough to keep us awake at night.

The kitchen has everything you might want if you wanted to eat in one night and has a lovely view of the castle. The living space is perfect for two; might have been a little cramped if any more were to visit. Can't fault facilities within the apartment, the owner even left a lot of leaflets and info about what to visit in Edinburgh. We visited in winter and were never cold inside the apartment.

Communication with owner before our stay was brilliant, she even let us come a little earlier in the day as had no one there the night before.

Highly recommended!
