Quite an informal restaurant but for dinner food and wine are excellent. The menu is large enough to provide a good choice but not so large that the food cannot be cooked to order.
Dishes appear to be "authentic" and the house wine is most drinkable.
We shall return.

A no nonsense place but food was tasty. To be fair thy looked understaffed during our trip and didn't like the toilets proximity to the kitchen. Saying that, food was good and very cheap. I did, however, feel we needed slightly more attention from the waiter who (for no fault of his own) was rushed off his feet

Had an amazing lunch this week. Excellent value. We chose bruschettas and pastas. Generous portions. Everything freshly made using the highest quality ingredients. Domenico's has been a "special place" to eat in the evening for us and for our friends for many years. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good service and food to rival any we have eaten on our regular visits to Milan. We will keep returning!

We were spending a week in an apartment just round the corner from Cafe Domenico and although spoiled for choice with all the fantastic restaurants in the immediate area we luckily found ourselves dining in this fabulous little restaurant.
Having read that the starters were rather generous, we opted to share a bruschetta, which was delicious and set us up for our pasta dishes, which followed.
You can choose a small or large portion of pasta and we opted for the large, and boy they are large.
My husband was over the moon with his spicy sausage and red pepper dish in a tomato based sauce and my choice of penne with smoked haddock, cream and peas was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever tasted.
Because we wanted to sample the deserts and we were finding our pasta dishes very filling we asked if we could have the remainder boxed to take away and the staff were more than happy to do this for us. This gave us the opportunity to have the banana bread soaked in rum and the sticky toffee pudding both served with Italian ice cream and absolutely to die for.
We enjoyed our pasta dishes for lunch in our lovely apartment the next day with some crusty bread and a glass of wine.
With humorous, friendly service and first class food this is a restaurant not to be missed.

We arrived later in the evening and grabbed the last table. The ambience was great with lots of chatter and eclectic music. This is a no frills family owned establishment that concentratres it's efforts on good service and fresh food. We had a cracking meal and a good bottle of wine and felt well looked after.

Beware the portions, you will not leave hungry!
