“Location location location”
Reviewed June 9, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

I stayed here with three other girls for a weekend in June. It's a great apartment in a great location. The only negatives I can think of is that there are four flights of stairs to climb, and the water for the shower was only lukewarm (this can however be changed with the water heater - we just didn't know how!)
There are many more positives than negatives:
- It has a central location
- The beds are incredibly comfortable and you will want to pack them into your bag!
- The owner kindly left tea and coffee, as well as shortbread biscuits to fatten us up! Yum!
- There is a good tv with lots of channels
- There are board games and books
- Even though it's in a busy area, the apartment is very quiet
Edinburgh is beautiful and this apartment is the perfect base from which to explore it. If I were to go to Edinburgh again (and I hope I do!) I would definitely book this apartment again.

“Good location”
Reviewed September 30, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Excellent location on the Royal Mile, convenient for Holyrood, Parliament, castle etc. The interior of the apartment is very nice, 4 flights of stairs up to it a bit dingy, and kitchen well equipped, rooms a decent size. The milk was missing for us, an oversight I guess, and there was no soap, bit of a surprise, though coffee and tea, biscuits and some cereal provided. Pity there is no way bags can be stored for a late flight after checkout, £9 per bag at left luggage in Waverley Station is a bit steep. However overall we had a great stay in Edinburgh and the apartment was ideal for us as a base for all the tourist activities.

“location,location,location”
Reviewed May 27, 2013 for a stay in May 2013

I booked this as a surprise birthday treat for my wife's 40th birthday as she has always wanted to visit Edinburgh. Elaine helped me keep it a surprise and kept in touch throughout the booking. There is everything in the apartment you could possibly need and the little touches like tea coffee milk etc are very welcome. Location is everything and this is in the perfect spot, especially if you don't want to drive. It is so easy to find, I never even had to look at the directions after i had checked it out on Google. Highly recommended, and despite being in the middle of everything surprisingly quite at night. This is how all holiday rentals should be. 10 out of 10.

Steve,

Thank you for your kind comments. It was fun keeping the surprise! Edinburgh is a great place to be....even if you did walk you family off their feet. At the end of your day it's nice to feel comfortable and get a good night's sleep.

“Perfect!”
Reviewed March 14, 2013 for a stay in February 2013

The perfect place to stay if visiting Edinburgh - the apartment is absolutely brilliant - location 2 minutes from the castle right in the middle of town, it is so cosy with everything you could ever need. It has two lovely bedrooms and a kitchen / lounge where we chilled out and had a few drinks whilst watching the rugby... miles better than any hotel I've ever stayed in - it really felt like home, quite a few times we actually said 'we'd like to live here'! Bit of a steep climb to the top but the views are worth it. If you're going to edinburgh definitely stay here!

Thank you so much for your review! It's important for people to be able to relax at the end of a busy day in Edinburgh, so much nicer if it feels homely? We look forward to making each and every guest feel welcome.

“Cozy welcoming apartment in perfect location”

Elaine prepared the apartment with much care and love so it was very welcoming and cozy when we arrived. It's very well equipped (from blow dryers to champagne glasses) and has a very homely feeling. The rooms were very cute and the beds even had heated mattress pads. You do have to climb a lot of stairs to get to the apartment but it's well worth it.

The apartments is a 3 minute walk from the castle and we almost never had to leave the Royal Mile to get to our destinations.

I would highly recommend the apartment - we had a perfect Christmas vacation there.
