“CIty Centre break”

Pleasantly surprised with the amenities in this particular Premier Inn. Lovely appointed breakfast room and bar overlooking Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle. Welcoming staff and modern, clean bedroom. Breakfast menu excellent. Will definitely return.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle.

I must admit that I am not such a fan of hotel chains, because I find them somehow "cold" and impersonal. However, this particular one I consider it to be a hit: it is very well located, staff is very efficient & polite and rooms are large and quiet. I have been told that this particular hotel is relatively new.
In order to make your choice easier, I will list a couple of pros and cons:

Front-Desk: Very efficient and welcoming staff (okay, some of them are a little bit too young, sort of like those employees at the apple stores...if you know what I mean) & also multilingual.

Room: large, spacious, well furnished (nothing fancy, but comfortable), tea available, 30min of free WiFi, showers are alright (warm but not hot water), quiet quiet quiet rooms (thank God). Standard room (typical from a hotel chain).

Breakfast: I took premier breakfast which I found simple but "okay" (nonetheless, coffee is really not good). I think the value/cost ratio is rather convenient. It is practical to have breakfast here if you have children; plus the view is very nice.

Location: brilliant! In front of the Castle and neat the old town. Also a couple of min away the train station and a taxi stop (they cost around 15£ from the airport). Edinburgh is sort of "walking distance anyway...

It is nothing out of the extraordinary but I would say all in all it is worth the money spent. Hope we share the same experience!

Booked a 3 night stay, with a budget. Have stayed with Premier inns before so had no hesitation in booking. The staff were nothing short of excellent along with the standard of breakfast. Though the rooms were a little smaller than the other Premier Inns I've stayed in, the view from room 621 ( & presumably 619, 617, 615 & 613 too) was exceptional of the Castle. A good, budget stay.

Stayed here over the May bank holiday weekend. Our room was on the top (6th) floor with a great view of the castle. It was also nice and quiet even though we were directly above Princes Street.
The hotel staff are very friendly and extremely helpful and were on hand to give directions to places of interest. I was a little disappointed with breakfast. I do find the food on help yourself buffets can be a little tepid if not replenished on a regular basis.
Overall I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Edinburgh. I will certainly use this hotel on my next visit.

We stayed at Princes Street Premier Inn for four nights at beginning of May to celebrate my 40th birthday. I requested a room with a view of the castle if possible to make this stay a bit special and wasn't disappointed. We had a top floor room with an excellent view. Throughout the stay, the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, particularly Scott who was always there to offer advice of where to go and what to do for the day. We only ate once at the hotel as there are so many restaurants and bars around the centre of Edinburgh, this was breakfast and everything was delicious. All in all a perfect weekend.

Room Tip: We had room 619 which was the top floor and the front of the building, this had an excellent view of...

Very good location and value for money. Very clean however extractor fan in bathroom required. All staff very friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble for them. My husband and I arrived early and staff secured our bags until our room was ready. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends and families.
