Excellent value hotel convenient for all the city centre attractions and within walking distance of Waverley station. Great breakfasts with views of the castle. Super friendly staff. Room away from the street was quiet and peaceful, but no real awareness of the outside.

Room Tip: Our room was at the rear of the hotel and very quiet. The view of the castle can be enjoyed at break...

Stayed for one night as a birthday treat for my wife.Room was spotlessly clean with a castle view as requested. We have stayed in more expensive, less quality rooms .Greeted on arrival by Freya & the team on reception and although it was 5 hours to check in,we were able to stow our bags whilst we went exploring/ shopping.A hearty as much as you can eat breakfast followed a peaceful nights sleep.Friendly helpful staff & an excellent central location, makes this an ideal base. Thoroughly looking forward to my visit to this first class hotel but for 2 or 3 nights stay.

Brilliantly located on Princes Street opposite the castle. Very welcoming staff and spotlessly clean everywhere. Everything in the hotel seemed to be new and the room was a decent size with a good large comfortable bed. The room heating controls were good - so often you get boiled or frozen. I requested a quiet room at the back which we got and it was absolutely peaceful which was amazing given the central location. I booked well ahead for one night before Easter weekend and it was tremendous value.

Stopped for 2 nights and really enjoyed the stay, fantastic location on Princes street and views of the castle. Breakfast as much as you can eat was perfect. Will definitely be back to stay, the only draw back was the obvious lack of parking due to the location of the hotel. Staff were excellent and friendly, would definitely recommend.

Another great stay in a premier inn, friendly staff and clean room, all right on Princess Street a short walk to the Train Station and the Car Park.
About a 15 minute walk to the Castle although steep going if you take the short cut.

Would definitely stay there again and recommend the hotel to anyway

Managed to get a room with an amazing view of the castle as requested. This hotel was everything you expect from premier inn, nice room, extremely clean and with very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was good, the standard premier inn breakfast. The thing that makes this hotel stand out is the location which is really central for all the highlights of edinburgh and the lovely view from some rooms, the breakfast area and the bar area. The one slight downside was that the windows needed cleaning on the outside, but then the weather was pretty bad and it may just have been from all the salt and grit on the roads. A great hotel, good value for money, I would recommend it.
