Great tour with an excellent guide! Highly recommended! Best of all, it's free (but you should tip your robe wearing guide).

“A fun walking tour in the rain!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

This was a really fun 90 minutes. I know Edinburgh well, but had never explored Greyfriars Kirkyard before. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about JK Rowling and the Harry Potter books, and there was a good balance of facts and educated guesswork.

It is advertised as free, but only a real meanie wouldn't make a donation at the end of such an entertaining tour.

“Fun and experiencing!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

My fellow travelers and I saw a flyer with information about the trail in our hostel and decided to go since we are all big fans. Plus it was free!
Really fun to see Edinburgh from a different view and to see all the places that have left a trail of Harry Potter. Our guide, Gemma, did a great job telling stories and facts, showing us around and it was extra fun since she brought wands and had dressed up.
Definitley worth your time!

“Best thing to do outside in Edinburgh in January”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2013

Thanks for the very very good tour

My girlfriend and I joined in on the first weekend in January, and we both really enjoyed the tour. I honestly don't think it could have been better. The tour guide (Becky) was a good balance of childish enthusiasm and knowledge, and the wands and sweets half way through were nice touches.

“No Show :(”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

Waited around with about 10 or so others for the tour. Gave up after 20 minutes waiting as did everyone else. Waste of time. Ended up googling sites instead which worked well. Would recommend doing that to save time and avoid disappointment. Poor ending to a visit to Edinburgh.

We're not sure what happened here; a guide was waiting at the start point on the date in question. Roadworks were occurring in the area at the time and we think this group might have been waiting at a different location. We've been in contact with the customer to apologise and offered a free private tour at any time.
