My partner and I recently stayed for the 4th time at this great Travelodge - for a 3 night stay it cost a little over £100.00.
Firstly the location is perfect - just off the Royal Mile, quite a quiet spot and great for the classier pubs and eateries. A short walk from the railway station and a short walk if you need to park the car (we've tried both).
The hotel is nice and clean, though of course very basic, this is a Travelodge after all. The building is really old and I find that these lodges are usually the best ones - nice large windows making the rooms nice and light too.
Friendly staff, a nice sized bar if you want to have a drink in house - all in all, I'd say one of the very best Travelodges we stay in. I'll certainly be back.
Tip - book at least 6 months in advance to take up the great offers - £100.00 for central Edinburgh peak times is a steal at twice the price.More
