This apartment was just great, complete with washer/dryer, full kitchen, lounge/dining and 2 bathrooms. With 7 of us we shared 2 apartments so had plenty of room. Very clean and extremely quiet location although handy to restaurants and a 24/7 superette. It was also only 3 minutes walk to catch the bus for the sights of Edinburgh and a short 1 minute walk finds you on the Royal Mile!

Another wonderful review and also very comprehensive although I am sorry that this guest was disturbed by a creaky floorboard. Nonetheless, glad to read the apartments being described as quiet and clean and hope to welcome this guest again soon.

Great apartment! Would definitely book again!! Clean, modern and just off the Royal Mile. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, nice wee kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. If I had to pick fault...... Squeaky floorboards, but worth putting up with for space. Also, Tesco Metro just below! Very handy.

What a nice surprise. Hotel is off one of the small alleys at the end of the Royal Mile (great location). Our room was basically a whole apartment - 2 rooms with 2 beds, living room with TV, dinning area and kitchen with everything you need to survive. just a few steps away there is mini market that sells a lot of things, so we would buy stuff that we would bake for breakfast, eat for lunch and drinks there, and that saved us lots of money. Very clean place, friendly staff. Parking is limited, so try to book in advance, we didn't so the first night car slept few blocks away (but reception helped us to find that parking place). Is not a hotel for pampering - no spa or anything like it. its just a good hidden gem very close to the main attractions in town. + recommended.

This apartment-hotel is Tripadvisor's 2012 Travelers Choice winner hotel and it is well worth the award. It is an apartment hotel about 2 minutes off the Royal Mile at the end of The Mile by Holyrood Palace. The hotel is clean and the staff is wonderful.

The apartments are spacious and well-furnished. We had a two-bedroom apartment with two full bathrooms ( a tub with a shower in one and a walk-in shower in the other). While the bedrooms are of normal size, the comfortable bed is large and takes up most of the room. As a result, there was no place but the floor to put a suitcase. There is a closet for hanging clothes but no drawer space. There is an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. Each room has a desk and chair. There is no air conditioning ( it is Scotland) but the windows do open. The living room had a television ( the only one in the apartment) and a stereo system. There was a sitting area and a dining room with table and chairs. The kitchen was furnished with everything one might need to cook for a family. The kitchen was stocked with bread, milk, orange juice, cereal, jam, butter, and cream chesse upon arrival. The kitchen has a washing machine/dryer and a dishwasher, a small refrigerator, an oven and a microwave. Having an apartment is a relaxing time while travelling. It gives children more space and is a welcome respite from eating in restaurants all the time. There is a grocery store next door and a Starbucks on the other side. The area is filled with restaurants and small shops. Cannongate Church is across the street. (the Queen's granddaughter got married there last summer).

The staff is extremely helpful and the daily housekeeping staff does a wonderful job. It is not a large busy hotel so there is a high level of attention to everything--the guests, cleanliness, etc. Wifi costs 5 pounds a day.

We enjoyed our stay here. The elevator worked fine and the hotel has a good security system. One has to have a room key to be able to enter the hotel from the outside. It is not an expensive place to stay and well worth the price of the hotel. There is no in- hotel restaurant nor is there room service but they do have brouchures from restaurants that deliver food to the hotel. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: I would imagine all rooms are good.

This apartment is ideally located, close to the Royal Mile. There are numerous restaurants and pubs in walking distance, plus a Tesco close by if you wish to self cater, which we did for breakfasts. The kitchen is well equipped, all appliances work and there is sufficent crockery and cutlery.
The apartment is roomy, however all internal doors must be propped open with furniture otherwise they close constantly (which is a problem when you have small children).
The main bedroom was advertised as having a queen bed, but it turned out to be only a double.
Also the shower in the bathroom must be the smallest I have ever seen or used, the water pressure was quite low and changed temperature constantly. I actually scalded myself.
Actually finding the apartments was also quite tricky, the gps didn't have the actual street address for the apartments, they are actually located in between the Royal Mile and Cowgate. If you see the Tesco on Cowgate, the apartments are tucked in behind this.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Both parking and wifi costs per day, but nothing outrageous.
All in all, this apartment is worth the price for the size and location.

My sincerest thanks to this guest for an overwhelmingly positive review and my apologies if there were any minor details that prevented us from getting 'full marks'. Please contact us whilst you are here if you are having any difficulties with operating any the equipment, such as the shower, and we will be only to pleased to help there and then and demonstrate how things work in the apartment. As this guest has pointed out, some older SatNavs dont always recognise our position but note we are just off Holyrood Road and not Cowgate - any doubt just call us and we will guide you.

stayed here for 2 nights, apartment was amazing, loads of space and 2 bathrooms to accomodate all of us, everything you could wish for, kitchen so well equipped, washer, cooker, fridge, and dishwasher, Was very quiet we were on the 6th floor,Breakfast basket was amazing, lots of cereal, yoghurt, bread, milk and cheeses, also tea bags coffee and sugar provided, perfect place to explore Edinburgh, placed at the end of the Royal Mile, if you can not walk very far, then this is not the place for you, it is such a long walk up the hill, if I didnt have my elderly mother with me than this place is perfect. All in all we had a fab time, but check the location of these apartments, Overall would give this break and stay a 9 out of 10

Room Tip: we were on the 6th floor and was very quiet, not sure about any of the other rooms, 601 room
