“Budget Place”

The apartment has a great view and the location is good. It is just near famous Sandy Bells pub and a few steps away from National Museum of Scotland. Kitchen equipments are new but short-stay travellers do not need to use them actually. Instead of them, sofas and bed could be renewed, because they are old and uncomfortable. Especially, bed is very annoying because of the huge defect in the middle of it.

This flat was in the best location. Lovely view out the kitchen window. Great size for 2 people. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

“THE place!!!”
Reviewed January 19, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

It's a good luck to find such a lovely place, in a central position (5 min.walking from the Royal Mile, 15 from Princes Street), quiet and comfortable, with a pleasant look on Greyfriars and the Castle. More, the kindness of the landlord, Graham, and his daughter Emily is the satisfying complement. I hope to came back soon!!!

“Lovely apartment, excellent location!”
Reviewed January 2, 2015 for a stay in December 2014

My boyfriend & I stayed in this cosy apartment from Dec 30th to Jan 2nd. Graham & Emily were easily contactable to arrange key collection, well before we even arrived in Edinburgh. Easy to find the apartment via taxi from the airport (approx £20, journey took 30 mins). Emily was very helpful; meeting us outside the apartment with the keys at 10:30am.
As previously mentioned in other reviews, the apartment is found at the top of 83 steps!! The climb itself gets easier, but it's definitely worth the effort! The apartment is small, but perfect for couples. It has been decorated well, with space and comfort in mind; the photos really do it justice! Brilliant views over the city from both the front and back of the property.
The location is also a huge advantage, it only takes 10 minutes to walk to Princes Street from the apartment. Due to its central location, we were able to easily explore Edinburgh by foot, only needing to use transport to and from the airport.
The only negative we could think of is that there is no grill/oven for cooking, although we were happy to eat out the majority of the time.
We will definitely be back to celebrate Hogmanay in the future, and this apartment will be our first choice of accommodation!

“small, cozy flat that has everything you need!”

We really liked our stay. Could get the key even though it was after 11 pm (late flights arriving). Apartment had everything we needed, perfect location close to restaurants, the castle and everything, nice views from the breakfast table, nice little bathroom, nice little bedroom, the kitchen was well supplied (we cooked one night and baked eggs in the morning), we could use tea and coffee. Only thing is that a dining table misses, we ate at the breakfast table, you could just squeeze in a second chair which was perfectly fine for us (you have nice views!) but if you're older (less flexible) or fatter I can imagine that it is a bit smallish. But we didn't mind so I give this apartment 5 stars!

“Great Little Flat, Superb Location, Lovely View”
Reviewed October 6, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Loved the flat... just the right size for 1 or 2 people. I am convinced that the 83 steps (which we navigated a record 6 times up and 6 times down on one of the days) was the reason I didn't gain an ounce during my stay, despite eating the absolute worst (but most fun) diet imaginable! Wifi was great, and the flat had everything you could need for a short stay. There was even a garlic press in the kitchen. If there is a kitchen utensil beyond that you feel you need on your short breaks, you are too ambitious in your cooking plans... eat out and enjoy yourself! Thoroughly enjoyed the views over the kirkyard and the city skyline. EVERYTHING is easily accessible from this flat, either by public transport or just by walking. We pretty much did the whole city by foot, only taking the tram on a couple of occasions. Mum's over the road is a great wee place to eat, especially breakfast. Make sure you take the City of the Dead tour (which has a little office/shop in the kirkyard). They are by far the creepiest and most entertaining. Ask for John... he's amazing! Thanks, Graham... hope to be back again soon!

Liked best: Central Location, View
Liked least: Stairs, and had a little bee problem on the last day. Graham noted that the bee people had been called, so may not be an issue any longer.

“very well located”
Reviewed October 3, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

In the center of Old Town, close to bus stops and one of the University campus, this flat is a good choice for those who want to move by foot in Edinburgh. The flat had everything we needed to our stay.

The thing we liked least was the frequent presence of wasps entering by the lamps openings on the ceiling, although not too serious (around 4 each day), it became a little annoying.
