Me and my boyfriend were hungry one afternoon and decided to try somewhere different. This little place is an absolute gem. 3 course meal for £7, and not little tiny portions either. I got nachos, fish and chips and a banoffee pie when I was here, and couldn't finish everything. You would expect the fish alone to cost this much, so getting a starter and dessert thrown in too, was a lovely addition.
Service isn't only friendly, but also quick, but not so quick that you haven't finished the previous course. How a cafe/restaurant should be.

Would highly recommend this cafe to all. 10 out of 10.

I stumbled across this place doing one of my 'coffee crawls' on a boring Saturday. What a find! Decorated in an old school Italian style, the walls are covered with pictures of icons like Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Frank Sinatra etc. Salvo himself is a great host and let me practise my fumbling Italian :) There is a fab breakfast menu, Continental and Scottish, plus a wide selection of ice creams, pasta dishes and paninis. The coffee is great quality and you get a lot for the price! The best option is to come here of a weekday lunchtime as they do a 3 course lunch for £7. Unpretentious, charming, and belly-filling!
