I always call in here when in Edinburgh as they make excellent coffee and absolutely great cakes and Danishes!
Some reviews mention poor service but I've always found the staff to be extremely courteous and efficient!
Definitely looking forward to my next visit!!

4 of us went to vincaffe on maltrees walk for dinner, on saturday night for my daughter in laws birthday she is italian and recommended the place, i have to say the food was excquisite and so was the customer service, in particullar a young girl that iv seen there a few times i belive she is from naples southern italy she was nice enough to talk to us about "the history" of valvona and crolla, and always with a smile on her face she came over to take our dessert order, and my daughter inlaw asked her for an "italian espresso" i guess she meant ristretto the waitress was kind enough to joke around and made the espresso herself with a little sweet on the side. the food was delicious we orderd the linguini with tiger prawns and the other three orderd the lamb it was all to our satisfaction, we will deffanetly be back, unfortunalty the only problem of the night was having to hear one member of staff (maby manager or supervisor) shout to her staff all the way through our meal as if she was at a market, but overall superb

In the heart of Old town, easy to get to and light atmosphere. Varied menu items, everything we had was delish! Their homemade pizza was great, loved the mussels and the antipasto appetizer was tasty if not a wee bit on the small side. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Hi. Back from V&C for a quick coffee with friend. This place have been here for ages... Suppose to be perfect.

I choose a hot chocolate and ended up with..... with.... a cheap cocoa powder served in a mug with hot milk.

£2.75 for that and a good 10 minutes waiting even if there was only 2 tables only in the whole place.

Honestly ? V&C ? Ouhhhh the bitter taste.

the highlight : the staff was friendly. And that's it. Not worth going back.

Oh and I forgot : An advice to them, clean the dust from the ceiling light.
