Dined in the Mulroy on Saturday evening. (20/4). We don't normally comment about our dining experiences but this Dinner was so splendid we thought 'twas time to sing our praises loud and clear.
We have been fans for some time now; we enjoy the overall ambience, the stunning menus and the much enhanced wine list. Lunch is a very relaxing experience and Dinner mid week likewise,. However Saturday's evening meal was the finest yet.....the tasting menu is sensibly priced, the choices ideal and scrumptious, witnessed by 4 clean plates and the wine, rather special indeed!
Heartiest congrats to all concerned. Simply the best in Edinburgh and environs!

We were looking for somewhere different to celebrate our son's 21st birthday and found the Mulroy on TripAdvisor.

The booking was easy and on the evening itself the staff were excellent and made us feel very welcome. Service was great and everything was well explained. My son and I had the Tasting Menu and my wife the A La Carte and we all really enjoyed the meal.

Every one of the 5 courses was cooked to perfection and the presentation on the plate at least excellent. The range on the menu was controlled and consequently everything was excellent.

Wine list was restricted to France, Spain and Italy but was still perfect for the restaurant's menu. Our feeling was that a lot of thought had gone into the whole menu and wine list and that it worked perfectly.

One of the best meals we have ever enjoyed - the only tiny complaint was that as the menu and ambience was French that there was no pastis available as an aperitif.

Really enjoyable experience at a reasonable price - well done

My first visit was for mu friend's wedding lunch where I was introduced to the most amazing Austrian wine. The food was exquisite, the setting was perfect in the private dining area.

On my return the food was exceptional with complementing wines per course. The desserts were excitingly outstanding.

I can't recommend The Mulroy highly enough for caring about customer experience on all levels and areas of dining.

I hadn't actually heard of The Mulroy until a friend booked it for a Saturday lunch. What a well kept secret - amazing food, quirky decor, attentive and friendly staff and really good value for money. Nothing more to say. Loved it, will definately go back.

We had a lovely meal here on a Saturday evening. The dining room is small and cosy with very comfortable chairs, the decor is traditional and elegant with tweed fabrics and silver candlesticks. The two head waiters, and 3rd younger waiter are a little stuffy but friendly and helpful enough though it was sometimes difficult to attract their attention. We all started the meal with cocktails which were excellent. The menu is quite limited (4 options per course) but they all looked delicious and it was hard to choose. We were all given an amuse bouche in addition to our order and this was a delicious little start to our meals. The starters were all very good and the mains were tasty but the portions were a little small. The desserts were equally good. Overall we had a lovely meal in comfortable and relaxed surroundings.
