So easy to get everywhere walking. Apartment was sparkling, simply but tastefully decorated. Everything needed was provided and the owner met us in the middle of a Thursday to welcome us and give us a tour of all the need-to-knows. She was very helpful with suggestions. Our only downer was that we couldn't stay longer. I hope to return to Scotland and would definitely hope to stay here again.
I recently stayed in this lovely apartment for the third time and on this occasion I brought my husband with me!
Being only a few minutes walk from Princes Street, the apartment is perfectly situated for anything one would want to see/do in Edinburgh. It is an easy walk to Waverley Station, Edinburgh Bus Station and the many local bus stops that line Princes Street.
This spotlessly clean apartment would have to be the best-equipped I have ever stayed in - lots of kitchen utensils/pots/pans/crockery/cutlery etc are provided as well as a roll of aluminium foil and cling film. The kitchen is also equipped with a washing machine and a dishwasher for which powders are provided. There is also a small "store cupboard" where departing guests may leave non-perishable items for the use of future guests.
There is a "walk-in" shower and the water pressure (and heat) is great. A bottle of shower gel is provided as well as toilet paper and air-freshener.
An iron, ironing-board and clothes airer are supplied.
There are a number of supermarkets within walking distance however there are also lots of wonderful pubs and restaurants to tempt you with their culinary offerings. There is a pub downstairs however I've never been disturbed by any noise from the establishment.
Lynne is a wonderful host and I can thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a centrally-located and well-appointed Edinburgh holiday rental.
We were able to walk everywhere, train station just a few blocks away, plenty of places to eat, and a grocery store was nearby. Lynne was a great host!
Very happy to give top marks to this ideally placed and well equipped apartment right in the very heart of Edinburgh. The combination of lively street views and surprisingly quiet nights makes this such a good place from which to explore the City. A very warm welcome from Lynne the owner marked the start of a very enjoyable long weekend. Speaking of hospitality I also enjoyed a restful Sunday morning overlooking Rose Street, reading the papers with coffee and some wonderful Eggs Benedict at the Element cafe/bistro on the ground floor, together with a very fine dinner at another of Lynne's recommendations, the New Chapter Restaurant on Eyre Street. Such a good weekend all round..
This is a lovely place. Ideally positioned for night life and sightseeing. Apartment is clean, tidy, well equipped for a stay in Edinburgh. Will definitely return
Me and my partner visited for a long weekend to visit the Christmas market and do some sightseeing.
The location is absolutely brilliant, really near Princes St and ideal for going off exploring in the New/Old Town and anywhere else. Lynne was very accommodating to ensure we were able to get checked in as soon as we arrive during off the train, and also kindly let us leave our bags on our last day.
The apartment is very clean, tidy and has all the amenities you could want. It's also warm and cosy for shutting the world out on an evening. As it's so centrally located there is a small amount of noise from the world outside, though not to the point of being disruptive or being a nuisance. Also the bedroom being at the back made sure it was quiet when time to sleep.
Next time we visit we'll definitely rebook. Lovely!
