The food in this place is very good and hits the spot if your looking for pub food. The only thing that lets it down is some of the clientele who come along and are drunk and loud which spoils the atmosphere. Has stopped me from going as often.

We work locally, so visit the Abbey on a regular basis to eat. We're never disappointed. Food is fresh and tasty, as well as being very reasonably priced. We usually stick to the Highland chicken, but the specials board tends to have more interesting fare on it. Staff are friendly. Great little pub for locals and strangers alike.

We are locals and go to the Abbey at least once a week to eat. The specials board changes on a daily basis and everything we have had there has been absolutely delicious. The chef and bar staff are excellent. Highly recommended - the best pub food you will find in Edinburgh.

Excellent food at a very reasonable price.

My wife and I used to visit this place regularly especially for family nights out. It was a convenient place to meet our children and their families.

If the restaurant side of the establishment could be separated from the bar then this place could easily be the best in the capital. The menu is very inviting and varied while the quality of the meals is superb.

The staff are always very helpful when serving and helping us decide what to eat and drink but unfortunately on the last two occassions, they did nothing to prevent the bad language and crude attempts at humour (from one paricularly loud individual ) spilling over from the bar.

This report may appear negative and I am sorry to say that my wife has refused to go near this restaurant again, which is a shame as the food really was excellent.

We happened to stop here for dinner as a walk in (no reservations). The food and service was amazing! We split the nachos as an appetizer (hesitant as our experience with Mexican food in the UK has been just okay... We're from Texas), and they were great and SPICY!! Loved it!
