We booked via the Internet for an evening meal during our recent trip to Edinburgh. The booking was simple and easy to make and email confirmation arrived quickly. The quality of service was very good, attentive to your needs and appreciative without being over bearing or in your face. The food was fantastic, very tasty with a subtle blend of spices. There was a good selection of drinks including a delicious Mango Lassi.

We had a very pleasant evening at this restaurant and will happily visit again in the future.

My wife and I spotted Gurkha restaurant whilst wandering around Edinburgh. It was my wife's birthday so we wanted a nice small restaurant. We were blown away by the amazing food we found here, the favours were just delicious and made it a meal to remember. The restaurant was clean, lovely and warm, making it a relaxing atmosphere. The waiters were so attentive and its lovely to visit a restaurant where the people that work there care about giving good service - something which is sadly rare now. The meal was great value for money for the high standard of food. It's a shame Gurkha restaurant is not nearer to our home. If we go to Edinburgh again, we will definitely pay another visit.

We went there as our friends refer us. We don't have that much expectation rather than deliver food on time. But it was amazing English and Nepalese food. Guys who i can't forgot at all are Mr. Suman, Sujan & Kumar. Always with smile face...that create smile in our face as well...If you like to be a hot and spicy food to challenge the Scotland snowing weather then you must be call Chef and discuss on it as you found Chef is shot guy but not his experience to make a great food. The design Thank you guys making our trip wounder-full. We will sure come to eat again in your traditional design restaurant.

We had an extremely enjoyable meal. Our main courses, a mushroom pyaza and bhuteko kashi (lamb) tasted wonderfully fresh and bursting with flavour. Our starters and side dishes were equally as enjoyable.
Service, right from making the booking until our departure was friendly, polite and helpful.
Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the restaurant's location in the middle of Cockburn Street.
This was one of, if not the best, Asian cuisine meals we have ever had. I would thoroughly recommend the restaurant and we can't wait to return.
