Description: Local, friendly neighbourhood pizzeria, serving fantastic hand stretched pizza cooked straight on the stone. We also do fantastic homemade lasagne, antipasto sharing platters, warm salads and delicious desserts. All of our bread and dough is made fresh! straight from our kitchen.

After being told how good it was by them friends of ours finally took us for dinner here on Easter Sunday. Not sure if everyone has said the same thing but first impression was the size - its a teeny wee place! Maybe eight tables? Anyway largely irrelevant since its about the food and service which were excellent. Wife and I shared the small (meaty) Antipasto sharing platter which was lovely. Great mix of flavours with fresh warm bread, garlic butter and a lovely rich black olive tapenade. To follow we both had pizzas - one from the menu and one from the specials board. Both excellent - thin, crispy, lovely tomato base and not over the top with cheap mozzarella like may pizza restaurants. Was topped off with a lovely Pinot Grigio and all in all great experience. Also - was totally amazed to see that they do delivery t the local area so its good bye large Chain Pizza delivery place, hello Origano!

Was a bit out the way for us but decided to try based on these reviews and we were not disappointed.
We came on a Tuesday which is byo on wine for a £3 a bottle corkage charge.
We had a antipasti sharer plate which was beautiful!!
I had the goats cheese salad - the best I've ever had, my partner had a pizza which he says was delicious; all for £27 - bargain.
Really intimate restaurant that was starting to really fill up, several drop ins were turned away so I would suggest booking.
One of the best Italian restaurants we have been to, bypass the bigger chain restaurants in town - Bella Italia, pizza express etc and have an authentic meal here, you won't be disappointed and you'll pay the same price.

How happy we were that we decided to try this little restaurant last night, and how relieved we were that we had decided to book a table!

On arrival we were greeted warmly, and shown to our table. This place is small and so a reservation is definitely advised! Quite a few people were turned away while we were there, as they were fully booked!

The mixed antipasti platter is the perfect, start, with delicious home-made bread and a good selection of meat and vegetarian plates! There were four of us, and so between us we sampled the pasts, the pizzas and the salads! All were out of this world!

The pizzas were so delicious, just the right thickness of dough and very generous toppings. When we said that we preferred not to have mushrooms we were immediately offered another topping instead. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

We really liked the interior...lovely warm red walls, candles on the table.

Thank you to everybody at Origano for such a lovely evening. We will definitely come back, and will recommend this little place enthusiastically to our future guests at our B&B!

We were so happy to have come across this charming little restaurant. Really delicious pizza and wine , exactly what we were looking for after a long day sightseeing and shopping. A little off the beaten track, but well worth the visit! Fantastic atmosphere !
