“Very good value apartments in city centre”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

We stayed for one night on New Year's Eve for the Hogmanay celebrations. We were first shown to our room which was on the ground floor with the bedroom windows facing the street right beside the reception. As it was new year we thought there would be a lot of street noise so we requested to move. They offered us an alternative room around the back away from the Main Street which was actually much bigger and to a slightly higher spec. We were delighted that they were able to accommodate our wishes. It was indeed very quiet and we slept well. One couple was in the bedroom and one on the sofa bed in the living room which was plenty big enough and comfortable.

Being nye we paid a very high rate, £250 but this was standard rates for the city and the quality of the accommodation was excellent. We liked the kitchen facility and being able to cater for ourselves.
We walked into the city down to princes street quite easily, perhaps a 15 minute walk.

The only thing I didn't like was that the doors really bang if you don't keep a hold of them and close them softly. This could be a problem if some people or children are trying to sleep and others are awake. A soft close function would, for me, bring the standard of the accommodation up from very good to excellent.

Room Tip: If the room is not to your liking, ask to see another, they were very accommodating for us.

We stayed in an apartment for 5 nights, 2 with our adult children. The apartment was in a large block of units in an uninspiring area of Edinburgh, but our unit was very clean and had good facilities that worked well. The washing machine was very welcome after time in London and York. The location made it easy to walk to popular tourist sites and there is a local supermarket that stocks all you need. The staff at the 24 hour reception were always friendly and very helpful.

We stayed here as a family for hogmanay, the apartment was two bedrooms which were a good size, one bathroom (two would have been better) and a lounge/diner/kitchen which was a good size. No complaints, very clean, lots of space, modern and serviced with clean towels, sheets etc. Only about 10 mins walk from the west end of Princes st and close to Murrayfield stadium (also a Nandos very close by) so it was really well positioned. The staff were very helpful although the foreign trainee on the reception desk did have to ask her colleague a lot of questions to help us but hey, how else are you gonna learn! All in all a great stay and will definitely go back again.

Room Tip: if booking a two bed apt ask for one with two bathrooms

The apartment was clean and comfortable. There is a Tesco Express, 5 minutes walk away. Royal Mile and the Edinburgh Castle is a 10 minutes walk away. And getting to Princes Street is relatively easy by bus from a nearby stop.

However, as there is no housekeeping, you'll have to do it on your own to keep the apartment tidy during your stay. Also, no toilet papers were provided. Would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Edinburgh!

Our family stayed for 3 days over the Christmas holidays. Our one bedroom apartment was modern, clean and very comfortable. The bedroom included 2 single beds, the bathroom was large, the kitchenette included all appliances and cutlery, the sofabed pulled out into 2 separate cots. There is a flat screen TV as well as free Wi-Fi. You need to leave a 200 euro deposit when you register at the front desk. A Tesco grocery store is 3 minutes away. The walk to Dublin Castle and to the Grassmarket area takes about 15 minutes. Some sites worth visiting are the National Museum of Scotland, the Scottish National Portrait Gallery and Arthur's Seat in Holyrood Park. This 25 minute climb gives you a spectacular city view of Edinburgh.

Just back from Edinburgh with my family after booking two apartments, we had broken showers, strangers wandering into the apartment standing at the end of the bed. Came back after a walk to find a member of staff had been the apartment taping the key porr for no aparant reason, to top it all off we found a used condom under the bed. Management attitude was dismissive, ignorant argumentative and just plain rude, over 600 pound spent for a couple of days to treat my family and a catalogue of problems was met with a so what attitude, never again.
