“Very clean and modern - good value for money”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2012

We stayed 5 days at these apartments with the whole family. They have a 24/7 reception and a private garage you can use. Very friendly and efficient service, good value for money and completely equipped apartments a 15 minute walk from Edinburgh city centre. Really an excellent experience and if we go to Edinburgh again we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for anybody looking for a good alternative to a hotel stay and in Edinburgh they do not have that many hotels anyway downtown.

Room Tip: The apartments are in a quiet area of town so it doesn't really matter which part of the buildin...

Three of us stayed 1 night here to go to a concert in Lothian Road. I do have a favourite hotel in Edinburgh but picked the Staycity apartment as it was close to the venue, had secure parking & could accommodate 3 people easily as well as good wifi connection. We were really pleased to find a spotless apartment, well equipped (everything you could need in the kitchen) and good comfortable beds, plenty tv channels too.In fact, we started planning another trip to Edinburgh in the not too distant future solely on the basis of how much we enjoyed our stay. The overall quiet in the building is worth a mention too by the way.
NB.On arrival, you have to get a "scanning" token for the barrier to the car park, so get your passenger to jump out & go to reception for this before you turn left to the car park!

Room Tip: I asked for something higher than ground floor as I had read about noise late at night from the door...

Cam across these apartments by chance. I arrived late at night but was greeted by a nice helpful young man who answered all my questions. The Apartment was perfect for what I needed with free wifi access. I came by car so had the added security of an underground car park for the 3 night stay. Perfect location for my business meetings and it was quiet at night. My only quibble was I couldnt shut the window properly (apartment 105) meant to tell them before I left but forgot! It was spotless warm and had everything I wanted in the kitchen for cooking. Although the staff at the front desk where all young they were very helpful and went out if their way to give me directions and information which helped to make my stay pleasant. Thank-you

Situated in an old area that is being newly developed the apartments make a good Edinburgh base. Modern and clean they have almost everything you need. On both occasions there were things missing, like the microwave! But they sort of take care of things if you call up the front desk. The apartments are quite stark, not homely but the heated floors help to keep them warm. It's a solid 10-15 minute walk to the Castle and the main Old Town attractions. There's a Tesco nearby for most of your food needs and a bank teller machine on a near corner for cash. The apartments are very new and the taxi driver from the airport was not familiar with them, but got me to the location of Grove St well enough. If you're not keen on lots of walking choose something closer or catch taxis.

Room Tip: Avoid a street level apartment as they have windows that look onto the passers by, right outside you...

This was our third stay in these apartments - the number in our party has varied from three to five people. The apartments are very comfortable and clean and suited each of our visits perfectly. We have stated in the one bedroom and the two bedroom apartments. Great location with key bus routes, cinema and restaurants on the doorstep. The only downside is the lack of essential kitchen equipment e.g. Teapot, pan, oven tray etc. We normally stay for four to five nights and would therefore like the option of cooking in the apartment during that time. The lack of essential equipment makes that virtually impossible.

The apartments are in a good location and are clean with good facilites. Unfortunatly the lack of customer service let down the quality of the experience. We reported the three lamps in the appartment not working and that there was no tea towel on our first day. Nothing was followed up. On our departure day we wanted to store our bags in the lockers provided. 50% of the lockers were available but due to keys being missing we were unable to use any of them and had to carry our luggage with us all day, staff could not advise another luggage storage location.

Bring your own tea towel and bulbs, do not rely upon luggage storage facilities.
