Very nice place. No fee entrance though voluntary fee is appreciated. It's amazing that children can draw under masterpieces:) Photography is allowed though some artworks have special labels not allowing shooting.

This is a free entrance gallery which features works by both international and Scottish artists - easily accessed since on the edge of Princes St. and full of rewarding works. We are not regular gallery visitors but there are some startling and impressive works on show here. One of the original Rodin works "The Kiss" is currently on loan to the SNG.

Visited the Gallery on a week day morning.
Wasn't busy and enjoyed the art, some great pieces.
Dissappointed the 1st floor was closed for refurbishment so couldn't view the entire collection

Good museum, not too large to overwhelm you, just right to spend 1 to 2 hours , and return the next day to see what you've missed. Located down the hill between old town sights and new town shopping

Good gallery with some fine pieces. Very traditionally arranged, however (because of restrictions of the old building?) so some pictures can be seen because of poor lighting, or being hung too high up; interpretation panels could be more informative.
