Hotel was clean and staff friendly. We ate at the wetherspoons below we felt it was very crambed and noisy at dinnertime. My partner found a date sticker in his soup and staff too busy. Food was good but we were put off by the sticker my partner had taken from his mouth. Our room looked onto the parking bay and we found it very noisy and around 1am were disturbed by a bin lorry emptying the glass bins.

Paid £129 for a double room during the festival,Saturday 25/8/12.The hotel is part of a wetherspoon pub but has its own seperate entrance with easy access to the pub.No noise whatsoever,no lift so be warned if you have heavy cases!Quick pleasant check in and staff very helpful with info on getting into the city centre and kindly phoned us a cab! Room was spotless and of a 4 star standard,no complaints whatsoever! Check out is 11am and they are very keen, maid knocked at 1055hrs.Breakfast at the wetherspoon pub was poor, very dry and no taste but hey its hit and miss with weatherspoon's food.Parking is quite limited,we got the last space but it is free and they let me leave the car all day sunday while we explored more of this fine beautiful city! Taxi was £9 to the Centre and Bus £1.40 each and very regular.Hotel is situated on a main road and cash machines and sainsburys local just over the road. The Zoo is 5 mins on the bus towards the City Centre! Conclusion-would stay again no hesitation, pricey at £129 room only but its an expensive city when the fringe and tattoo are on for hotels!

Don't be put off by it being a Wetherspoons, this hotel is fab all the way! Really close to the zoo, with a small Boots and a supermarket very nearby, easy travel by bus into town. Lovely friendly staff who were very knowledgeable and really helpful. Would absolutely stay again! :)

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor at the back are quieter

After trying for weeks, without success, to find a hotel room in the centre of Edinburgh during
the "Festival" , I went on Late Rooms .com who found me a vacancy at The White Lady which is some way out of town.
.
Despite having to pay a taxi fare of £13 to take me there at 11 p.m. on Saturday night it was worth every penny - for the taxi and for the room.

I didn't know what to expect from a Wetherspoons but it turned out to be the prettiest and
most up to date hotel room I have stayed in for years. Delightful. Staff pleasant and very helpful. Room £129 ( Very cheap during Festival week) In the daytime there is a convenient bus to town - cost £1.40 RESULT!

My wife and I spent one night in The White Lady Hotel in Corstorphine Edinburgh. We had stayed last year and knew it was good. Unfortunately the Edinburgh Tattoo and Festival Fringe were on and the price had been nearly doubled because accommodation was scarce.
We had a double room which was Spacious, well furnished and very comfortable, Coffee and tea making facilities, along with biscuits and bottled water were provided. All toiletries were provided. The room was absolutely spotless.
During the evening we visited the bar which was very busy. Drinks were very reasonably priced, especially for Edinburgh . The only downside was that the tables were not cleared or cleaned when previous customers left and we had to move plates and glasses to use the table.

Stayed at White Lady for 2 nights on a short trip to Edinburgh.

The hotel I understand has been refurbished in the last 18 months or so, the rooms are comfortable with a spotlessly clean bathroom, comfortable beds, 32" Flat screen TV, tea & coffee making facilities, plus bottles of water, you can't drink from the tap.

Our room overlooked the roof of the dining room, but not too bothered as we had not come to see the view from the hotel window!

Downstairs is a Wetherspoons pub, as usual the food is great value, steak night on Tuesday was excellent value a steak for 2 with bottle of Hardy's Red Wine £16.99.

On arrival we were asked if we were planning to go into Edinburgh and were give details of the buses to catch and the cost of fare, the bus stop is just outside hotel. Much better than driving in , given the amount of roadworks in the city at the moment due to construction of a tram system, driving in would be a nightmare.

One small issue, the wifi signal in the room we had was weak and kept disappearing, but down in the bar it was fine.

When we go to Edinburgh again The White Lady will be on our list of places to stay.
