“Coming again :)”

Stayed here July 2nd to 5th (so actually still here :)! ). Ok we did stay at the front of the hotel and yes you can hear the traffic but this did not affect us at all we have had brilliant nights sleep beds very compfy. U get 2 bottles of water everyday. With the coffee and tea facilties if you use anything the next day its replaced and we have always had 2 packets of bikkys left for us which are yummy :)! As for the pub downstairs I don't need to sell it to you it does that itself :) its a weatherspoons (go for the steak always amazing). Getting into edinburgh is a doddle! Bus's are roughly 20 mins and get you onto Princess street in about 15 mins a day ticket is £3.50 you can use that as many times in the day as u like for example. We used ours to spend the morning and early afternoon in edinburgh came back around 4ish then went back into edinburgh for our ghost walk at 7 and used the same ticket! £3.50 a day is a bargin! The reception guys are very helpful and will give u all the information you need! Like I said on my title we are coming back :D!!

Stayed here for 4 nights working locally , the food is great breakfasts even greater, even at bust times in the evening the wait time for food was very good. However , on my first night there was a problem with the boiler, this was reported and a plumber came out and fixed the next day. hot water restored , there was a further problem with the mixer tap in my room which prevented me from having a proper shower, this was pointed out on the wednesday to staff, and low and behold its friday morning and it still hasnt been looked at. ive spent in excess of £80 pernight for a shower that i cannot enjoy. Its a shame that the staff have no action plan for resolving faults, or if they do it cedrtainally wasnt implemented on this occassion. would i stay here again? probably not as if theres a problem its not guaranteed to be resolved and when your living away from home you want things to be as comfortable as possible.
Apart from this inconvenience. and the fact theres no lift and the water in the taps isnt drinking water its a great place to stay and would have got full marks had things been dealt with properly.
on check in the confused (and non local) receptionist attempted to charge me £1200 for two rooms for 4 nights, not a very good first impression. he must have came from the hilton previously!

Had the pleasure of visiting Edinburgh again and made a point of visiting the white lady again after the last positive experience. Once again it lived up to all expectations and both myself and my two colleagues were very impressed with the food, the service and the drinks on offer. It was simply great and just seems to do a really good job and deliver a great experience consistently - I wish it was my local !

The hotel was £20 cheaper on laterooms but well worth the money.situated about 10 minutes walk from the zoo and about 15 minutes from the city centre on a bus.the rooms were very clean and pleasant but if you are facing the road expect traffic to start at around 5am.overall the hotel is nice, clean and I can not fault the staff who work there.very helpful and knowledgable

Slightly outside city centre, but plenty of local amenities and bus route. Large safe free car park, the reception is seperately located from the bar area, friendly helpful receptionist. The first floor bedroom was very well appointed including en-suit bathroom, flat screen TV, tea coffee making facilities including bottled water. With the window open due to a major road location there was a lot of traffic noise, Breakfast was not included but can be purchased at reasonable prices.

Room Tip: Perhaps at the rear of the building away from the noisy road.

We stayed here on a weekend visit to Edinburgh. I booked it on trivago the same day so got it for half price. The room was lovely. Tastefully decorated & very clean with FREE bottled water, tea, coffee & biscuits !!! so no add ons. Bathroom was basic but nice & clean. Good location. Number 12, 26 or 31 takes you right into town in ten minutes. We had 2 meals for £7:99 I had chilli con carne, my husband had ham, eggs & chips. At £1:99 for a pint of lager & a 15yr old malt at £1:79 plus an array of real ales, we were well impressed. The bar staff were very efficient & very friendly & helpful. After a peaceful night we had a full scottish breakfast for £2:99. You just cant top that! When I booked online I requested a room at the front of the hotel looking onto the main street. When I arrived, a charming young lady at reception told me they had a room for me as requested at the front. It's the little things that make your stay memorable. The duty manager at breakfast was very helpful & friendly too. Top marks to The White Lady !!! I will definately be back & I will certainly recommend it.

An overnight stay here while husband in Murrayfield Hospital. Hotels nearby were full, tried here and as they had no family rooms left, was given a good deal on 2 doubles for myself and 2 children. Very much appreciated. Rooms were lovely. Right on main road so a little bit noise but that's to be expected in busy city centre. Had off street parking as well which was great. Definately use again.
